Abita Brewing Company Breaks Out the PB & Jams for a Limited Time

Abita Brewing Company (Covington, Louisiana) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of PB & Jams Lager in mid-January 2021.

Crafted with the intention to “immediately take you back to your favorite childhood snack – the peanut butter & jelly sandwich,” PB & Jams is a Lager filled with “aromas and flavors of strawberry and peanut butter.” Coming in at 8% ABV, PB & Jams has “flavors [that] meld perfectly resulting in a medium bodied brew with a subtle sweetness.”

PB & Jams is rolling out now but will only be available for a limited time. You can expect to find this Limited Release available in 6-packs of 12 oz. bottles and on draft at select craft beer-focused establishments located in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and throughout the rest of Abita’s distribution area. Abita Brewing Co. Reimagines Jockamo as a Juicy IPA

Abita Brewing Company (Abita Springs, Louisiana) has officially announced that the newly-reformulated Jockamo Juicy IPA will join the brewery’s Year-Round portfolio in late September 2020.

An updated take on Abita’s Jockamo IPA that originally debuted back in 2008, Jockamo has now evolved to become a double dry-hopped Hazy/Juicy India Pale Ale featuring Citra, Apollo and “a blend of experimental hops.” Clocking in at an easy-drinking 6% ABV, Jockamo Juicy IPA “produces tropical and fruity notes that will leave you wanting more!”

“Our take on the IPA started over 12 years ago in 2008 when we originally released Jockamo, the first IPA crafted in Louisiana, to celebrate our rich and unique culture through the beer’s bold flavor” said David Blossman, President and CEO of Abita Brewing Company. “This new juicy style of Jockamo is an even bolder IPA, with intense hop flavors and aromas. Featuring brighter, more tropical tones, this beer pours a vivacious gold color with a distinguishing haze.”

Previously only available as a fan-favorite Seasonal offering, Abita Strawberry Lager starts with a Lager base – made with Pilsner and Wheat malts and Vanguard hops – that is then infused with “juicy, ripe Louisiana strawberries, harvested at the peak of the season.” Truly perfect for any time of the year, the incredibly crisp Abita Strawberry Lager (4.2% ABV) is “light gold . . . with a subtle haze and strawberry flavor and aroma.”
