Lonerider Brewing Releases Blood Orange Hoppy Ki Yay IPA

Arriving as a variant of Lonerider Brewing Company’s fan-favorite Hoppy Ki Yay, Blood Orange Hoppy Ki Yay IPA is finally ready to make its Seasonal debut in 12 oz. cans.  To give this American India Pale Ale an added kick of summer refreshment, the brewers at Lonerider added blood orange purée to complement and accentuate the beer’s Columbus and Amarillo hops.  This fruit infusion results in a 6.6% ABV offering that “is the beer juice citrus lovers have been waiting on.”

Blood Orange Hoppy Ki Yay IPA is shipping out now and will be hanging around throughout the summer months.  This Seasonal brew can be found in 6-packs of 12 oz. cans and on draft at select craft beer establishments located in Alabama, North Carolina and throughout the rest of Lonerider’s distribution footprint.  Prost!

Lonerider Brewing Company Expands Distribution to Alabama

alprLonerider Brewing Company (Raleigh, North Carolina) has officially announced that their offerings will be available for purchase in the Alabama market beginning on Wednesday, February 22.

Established at the start of 2009, Lonerider Brewing Company is a Wild West-themed craft beer brand “that prides itself as the Ales for Outlaws.”  Thanks to a dedication to crafting beers with only the highest quality ingredients, Lonerider has earned such accolades as being named an Inc. 5000 winner, a CED Top 25 winner, and one of the Top 150 breweries in the USA.  Their beers have also earned several awards, “including medals from the Great American Beer Festival.”  This success has made it possible for the brewery to steadily expand their presence across the Southeast, and Alabama will now become the 8th state in their distribution area.

“Going to school in Birmingham and then bringing Lonerider beers back to Alabama is kind of making a full circle for me personally.” Sumit Vohra, CEO, explains. “I’m very excited to bring the Outlaws to Alabama.”

Lonerider Brewing Company will officially launch in Alabama on February 22 with availability “in major cities such as Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile, Huntsville, and surrounding areas.” The brewery plans to enter the market with the following offerings:

  • Hoppy Ki Yay India Pale Ale – “We’ve rounded up some great malts and hops for Hoppy Ki Yay IPA, our year round IPA. This straw colored ale is hopped with Columbus and Amarillo and rounded out by a mild body from the malts.”  ABV – 6.6%  IBUs – 76  Availability – 6-packs of 12 oz. cans & draft

  • Shotgun Betty Hefeweizen – “Shotgun Betty uses her sharpshooting skills to target those that show a weakness for wheat beer with a body that won’t quit.
