Bell’s Brewery (Comstock, Michigan) has officially announced that Arabicadabra Coffee Milk Stout will arrive in the fall as a surprise addition to the brewery’s calendar of Specialty releases in 2017.
To add a bit of wonder and amazement to their release calendar at mid-year, Bell’s Brewery has seemingly come out of nowhere with the announcement that Arabicadabra Coffee Milk Stout will be joining the brewery’s Specialty Series in October. Brewed with lactose to create a creamy texture, the brewers then infuse this new Milk Stout “with 100% Arabica coffee beans roasted by Ferris Coffee in Grand Rapids, Michigan.” To ensure that Arabicadabra has an incredibly pronounced coffee presence, the brewers at Bell’s go one step further by creating “a cold coffee extract made at the brewery using a combination of fair trade, organic Nicaraguan coffee beans and Sumatra coffee beans.” Thanks to a little sleight of hand, the 5.5% ABV Arabicadabra Coffee Milk Stout will officially stand in for Bell’s Java Stout in 2017.
“When we announced this year’s release calendar late last year, we knew there were a few more surprises to come. This is one of them,” said Bell’s CEO, Laura Bell.
“It’s really fun to see new favorites move to a wider audience. This is another example of how we continue to explore new ingredients and flavors. The spirit of innovation that set us on this path is still a huge part of who we are and we will continue to look for ways to showcase that innovation across our distribution area,” Bell said.
Arabicadabra Coffee Milk Stout is scheduled to debut in October with availability in 6-packs of 12 oz. bottles and on draft. Once released, you can expect to track this new Specialty brew down at craft beer establishments located in Alabama, Florida, Michigan and throughout the rest of Bell’s Brewery’s distribution footprint.
