Terrapin Beer Co. (Athens, Georgia) has officially announced that Gamma Ray Wheatwine Ale is making a triumphant return this month as the brewery’s latest Side Project release.
Gamma Ray was originally released ten years ago as Side Project: Volume 3 and later experienced a short run on Terrapin’s Monster Beer Tour before being retired in 2011. Well, this Wheatwine-style Ale is back and looking just as strong as ever – 10.8% ABV to be exact. Brewed with “a massive amount of honey” from Savannah Bee Company, the gold-hued Gamma Ray offers a “fruity nose [that gives] way to a malty sweet taste of honey.”
Gamma Ray is rolling out now and will be available as long as supplies lasts. You can expect to find this Side Project offering available in 4-packs of 16 oz. cans and on draft at select beer-friendly retailers, bars and restaurants located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and throughout the rest of Terrapin’s distribution footprint. Prost!
