Revolution Brewing (Chicago, Illinois) has announced that Hazy-Hero Hazy IPA will officially join its Year-Round portfolio in late August/early September 2019.
Crafted to showcase the “the transcendental supremacy of American hops,” Hazy-Hero is a Hazy India Pale Ale that features two separate dry hop additions: “the first features Idaho 7, Citra, Sultana, and Centennial hop varieties” while “the second round is dry-hopped using Cashmere, Citra, Amarillo, and Mosaic.” This hop heavy approach arms Hazy-Hero (7.3% ABV) with “flavors [that are] long on papaya, passionfruit, and melon, while remaining short on bitterness.”
“Hazy-Hero is really the next evolution of our Hazy IPA program, all the way from our first Brewpub batches of the style through the introduction of Northeast-Hero earlier this summer,” Revolution Brewmaster Jim Cibak said. “This one goes even further to bring in modern hops and the kind of smooth, tropical flavor profile that makes the style so popular.”
Hazy-Hero hit the packaging line on August 27 and is actively rolling out now. You can expect to find this new Year-Round offering available in 6-packs of 12 oz. cans and on draft in Illinois, the Nashville area of Tennessee and throughout the rest of Revolution Brewing’s distribution area. Prost!
