Abita Brewing Company Introduces Spring Loaded Spiked Sparkling Water

ABIT-0214-Spring-Loaded_Watermelon_canAbita Brewing Company (Abita Springs, Louisiana) has officially announced that it will launch its new line of Spring Loaded Spiked Sparkling Water with the release of two flavors – Splash Berry and Watermelon – in April 2020.

Named to pay homage to the brewery’s water source at Abita Springs, Spring Loaded is a series Spiked Sparkling Water brewed with that “cherished” spring water, Louisiana sugar and natural fruit flavors.  This new line kicks off with Spring Loaded Splash Berry and Spring Loaded Watermelon flavors, and each offering comes in at just 100 calories, 2 grams of carbs and 5% ABV.  Abita plans to test new flavors of Spring Loaded “in their Tap
Room, where customers will have the opportunity to provide input on future flavors.”

“It seems only natural for us to develop a spiked sparkling water since Abita Springs is well-known for our water source,” said David Blossman, President and CEO of Abita. “Our water is a cherished natural resource, drawn straight from the Southern Hills Aquifer. These springs are over two thousand years old and provide water that is pristine and naturally perfect for brewing, which is why we decided to call the brand Spring Loaded.”

“Spring Loaded is crafted with all-natural ingredients and artesian spring water. The base beer is brewed with Louisiana sugar that ferments into alcohol, leaving only 2 grams of sugar. The result is a crisp, refreshing spiked water with natural fruit flavors,” said Abita Brewmaster Mark Wilson. “This formulation has been in the works for a while and we are excited to finally be able to share it with our fans.”

Spring Loaded Splash Berry and Spring Loaded Watermelon are both available now in Louisiana and expanded distribution is scheduled to begin soon. You can expect to find these new Year-Round offerings available in 4-packs of 12 oz. cans at craft beer-friendly establishments located in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Georgia, Mississippi and Texas. Prost!
