Sierra Nevada’s Celebration Fresh Hop IPA Returns for its 40th Annual Release

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. (Chico, California) has officially announced that it will begin the Seasonal Release of its iconic Celebration Fresh Hop IPA in mid- to late October 2021.

Brewed each year after “Sierra Nevada brewers travel to the Pacific Northwest hop growing region to select the most premium lots” to come out of the year’s hop harvest season, Celebration is a Fresh Hop India Pale Ale featuring only the finest and freshest Cascade and Centennial hops available that are “kiln-dried and transported to the brewery as soon as possible so the brewers can begin production of the beer right away to capture the citrus, pine, and floral notes when they’re at their absolute peak.” Coming in at 6.8% ABV and 65 IBUs, Celebration’s “hoppy . . . notes of citrus and pine . . . are well balanced with a subtly sweet backbone of caramelized two-row pale malt.”

“We wanted to brew a beer that really featured what we love most about hops, so we chose to brew this beer only with hops that have been freshly harvested so the most amazing flavors and aromas can really shine,” says Ken Grossman, founder of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. “Hop harvest season is special time we look forward to every year.”

Celebration is rolling out now and will hang around through December 2021 (while supplies last). You can expect to find this Seasonal Release available in 12 oz. cans and on draft at select craft beer-focused establishments located in Alabama, Florida, California, North Carolina and throughout the rest of Sierra Nevada’s nationwide distribution network. Prost!
