Full Sail Brewing Co. (Hood River, Oregon) has officially introduced Malted Milkshake-Style IPA as the newest addition to its Core lineup.
Just as its name would lead you to believe, Malted Milkshake-Style IPA is a “hazy and hoppy, smooth and creamy . . . milkshake-style [India Pale Ale] brewed with lactose, malted barley and oats.” With five juicy hop varietals and a touch of vanilla rounding out the recipe, Malted Milkshake-Style IPA (6.8% ABV, 40 IBUs) comes together to be “a hazy, fruit-forward IPA with notes of sweetness from lactose and a hint of vanilla.”
“We’d been wanting to experiment with the milkshake style, an offshoot of New England Hazy IPAs,” says Full Sail Brewmaster Greg Doss. “With Malted Milkshake, we really nailed it. It’s unfiltered, not bitter, and there’s tons of aroma packed into a full-bodied, creamy IPA.”
Malted Milkshake-Style IPA is rolling out now with availability in 6-packs of 12 oz. bottles, on draft, and in the Full Sail Trophy Case Mixed 12-pack of 12 oz. bottles. You can expect to find this new Year-Round offering at craft beer-friendly establishments located in Florida, Oregon and throughout the rest of Full Sail’s distribution area. Prost!
