Tröegs Independent Brewing Goes Year-Round with Grand Cacao Chocolate Stout

Tröegs Independent Brewing (Hershey, Pennsylvania) has officially announced that Grand Cacao Chocolate Stout will join the brewery’s Year-Round portfolio in early February 2021.

Dropping just in time to add some chocolate decadence to your Valentine’s Day plans, Grand Cacao is a Milk/Sweet Stout “built on a foundation of rich chocolate malt, caramel malt and roasted barley” and then “[cold-steeped] on Peruvian cacao nibs and natural vanilla [to double down] on the smooth symphony of chocolate . . . [while] a splash of milk sugar delivers a velvety sweet and creamy finish.” Coming in at 6.5% ABV, Grand Cacao “boasts flavors of milk chocolate, roasty grain and hints of sweet cream.”

“You’ve had stouts with chocolate notes,” says Tröegs Brewing Manager, Tim Mayhew. “The way these ingredients come together, this tastes more like chocolate with stout notes.”

Grand Cacao is available now in 12 oz. bottles and on draft. You can expect to find this new Year-Round at craft beer-focused establishments located in Pennsylvania and throughout the rest of Tröegs Independent Brewing’s distribution footprint. Prost!
