Microbrasserie Les Trois Mousquetaires (Brossard, Quebec) has officially announced that it will re-enter the U.S. market on October 1, 2021, thanks to an assist from Winter Dog Cellars (Fairfax, Virginia).
Returning to U.S. craft beer shelves after a two-year absence, Microbrasserie Les Trois Mousquetaires (LTM) was founded in 2004 and has earned quite the reputation by focusing on brewing “traditional styles with a modern craft twist.” By making “extensive use of local Quebec malts and other ingredients in all of their products,” LTM’s mission is to “offer the consumer a Quebec beer, all the while encouraging the economy and local know-how.” This approach has led to LTM being “named one of the Top 100 Breweries in the World by Rate Beer in both 2013 and 2020.”
A great deal of LTM’s success can be attributed to their flagship Porter Baltique, “an eight-time gold medal award winner at the World Beer Awards, including being named Best Baltic Porter in the world in 2010 and 2013, and was also named best overall beer in Canada in 2020 by Rate Beer.” Other highly regarded offerings from the brewery include Ceci Nโest Pas Une Gueuze (Oak-aged Blended Sour), Saison Brett (Saison), Doppelbock, and Stout Imperiale and Dejeuner Imperiale (Imperial Stouts).
Winter Dog Cellars will re-introduce Microbrasserie Les Trois Mousquetaires to the U.S. market on October 1 in the areas of Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. Craft beer fans can expect additional markets to be “added selectively for the remainder of 2021, with substantial expansion planned for 2022.” Prost!
