Lagunitas Brewing Company (Petaluma, California) has officially announced that Maximus Colossal IPA will join the brewery’s Unlimited Year-Round lineup in mid-March 2021.

A much bigger, revamped take on Lagunitas Brewing Company’s longstanding Maximus IPA, Maximus Colossal IPA is a Double India Pale Ale that is “full of Simcoe, Cascade and Centennial hops balanced against tons of rich malted barley.” Although it comes in at a “brawny” 9% ABV, Maximus Colossal IPA still asserts that “with great power comes a great caveat: balance is everything. [Lagunitas believes] Maximus to be exactly that. Et tu?”

Maximus Colossal IPA is set to debut during the Ides of March 2021 with availability in 6-packs of 12 oz. bottles, 19.2 oz. cans and on draft. You can expect to find this new Year-Round at craft beer-friendly establishments located in Alabama, Florida, California, Illinois, Washington and throughout the rest of the brewery’s nationwide distribution area.
