Tröegs Independent Brewing Sends Double Nugget Nectar into Distribution for First Time

Tröegs Independent Brewing (Hershey, Pennsylvania) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Double Nugget Nectar in late January 2020.

A mega-sized “spin on [the brewery’s] iconic” Nugget Nectar, Double Nugget Nectar is a “Double Imperial Amber Ale . . . built around one of Nugget Nectar’s key ingredients: Simcoe hops. This complex hop’s notes of apricot, peach rings and bright citrus are at the forefront of the beer’s flavor. Azacca hops add hints of juicy orchard fruit, and Munich malt provides a bready sweetness. To round out the hop profile, Columbus and Nugget hops introduce a layer of dank pine.” Double Nugget Nectar weighs in at an imposing 9.5% ABV.

“It was a fun balancing act,” said Tröegs brewmaster and co-founding brother John Trogner.

Double Nugget Nectar is scheduled to release on January 24 and will hang around only as long as supplies last. You can expect to find this Limited Release available in 16 oz. cans and on draft at Tröegs Independent Brewing and select craft beer-focused establishments located within the brewery’s distribution footprint. Tröegs Independent Brewing Releases Some Freshly Squeezed Nugget Nectar

Tröegs Independent Brewing (Hershey, Pennsylvania) has officially announced that it will begin the Annual Limited Release of Nugget Nectar, one of the brewery’s most requested beers, in early January 2021.

Brewed each year to showcase the “fresh-off-the-bine” character found in the brewery’s recently delivered hop selection, Nugget Nectar is an Imperial Amber Ale that features the “dank notes of pine and grapefruit” found in Nugget hops. Complexity abounds as Simcoe hops “[chime] in with hints of ripe mango and creamsicle, and it’s all balanced with enough kilned malt to add body and a touch of sweetness.” Coming in at 7.5% ABV, Nugget Nectar “provides plenty of warmth on those dark, cold winter nights.”

Nugget Nectar is rolling out now and will stick around only as long as supplies last. You can expect to find this Limited Release available in 12 oz. bottles, 12 oz. cans, 16 oz. cans and on draft at select craft beer-focused establishments located within Tröegs Independent Brewing’s full distribution footprint.
