Vision Wine & Spirits and VDKA 6100 Strike U.S. Distribution Partnership

Vision Wine & Spirits (Taunton, Massachusetts) has officially announced that it has entered into an agreement with VDKA 6100 (New Zealand), “the world’s first premium vodka made from whey, not grain,” to handle nationwide distribution of the brand effective immediately.

Named after the 6100 miles that extend from “the territorial waters of New Zealand, from which the product is sourced, to . . . the United States, where the brand was born,” VDKA 6100 is a “distinctive, smooth and elegant” Vodka “produced from seasonal cow’s whey in Reporoa, near Lake Taupo on the North Island of New Zealand.” After the whey is fermented with “a unique strain of yeast from Ireland that has been hand-cultivated in Reporoa for over 30 years,” VDKA 6100 is then triple distilled and “filtered through carbon, before being blended with pure New Zealand natural spring water.” Coming in at 40% ABV (80 proof), VDKA 6100 is gluten free, sugar free, lactose free and free from chemical additives.

“VDKA 6100 views this new partnership as an opportunity to gain national distribution while mitigating the massive risk that goes into taking on new markets alone.”

John Castiglione, Vision Wine & Spirits Director – The Americas

VDKA 6100 is currently available in 19 states, and Vision Wine & Spirits will help the brand reach nationwide distribution soon. Once full distribution is achieved, you can expect to find VDKA 6100 available in 750ml bottles at fine liquor retailers located across the county. Prost!

Mother’s/Father’s Day Gift Guide: BĒT Vodka

BETVodkaDrinkIt is once again that time to celebrate our parents during the five week stretch that contains their given holidays: Mother’s Day on May 12 and Father’s Day on June 16. The crew here at Mashing In is well aware that finding a decent gift gets more and more difficult as we get older, so we have decided to compile a gift guide for those moms and dads that enjoy a fine adult beverage from time to time. This installment of the guide is a suggestion for the parent that fancies herself/himself as a vodka aficionado: BĒT Vodka (Minneapolis, Minnesota).

Carefully crafted by “two millennials” – Ben Brueschoff and Jared Poling – after working with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, BĒT Vodka stands out from “the typical potato, wheat and corn [Vodka] varieties” by being a “unique luxury” Vodka made with sugar beets that are “harvested and processed into granulated beet sugar, then dissolved into water with nutrients, fermented for up to two weeks, distilled no less than three times, blended with filtered water, and passed through active carbon to create a premium-pour.”  This process results in a taste that is “smooth on the front, with peppered spice on the back, and a hint of vanilla essence.”  Clocking in at 40% ABV/80 proof, BĒT Vodka is “full of heart and made for sharing.”

BĒT Vodka is currently available in 750ml bottles at select restaurants, bars and liquor establishments in the Twin Cities – Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota.  You can look for this premium spirit at “Booze Mart, Central Spirits, Lowry Hill Liquor, MGM Liquor, Rum River and more” or you can purchase BĒT Vodka online by clicking here.  Prost!

Victor George Vodka Makes Statewide Debut in Florida

VGbottleVictor George Vodka (Fort Lauderdale, Florida), an ultra-premium gluten-free vodka, has officially announced that it is now available throughout the state of Florida.

Established in South Florida as “one of, if not the only, African American owned liquor brands in Florida”, Victor George Vodka is an organic, gluten-free vodka that is “created using a patented filtration system to remove harsh tasting congeners that cause hangovers and burn found in many other vodkas and spirits.” With this being “a key selling point and part of what has driven the early buzz about the brand”, Victor George Vodka has quickly become “one of the most requested brands for high profile events such as Flo Rida’s and Tory Lanez’s birthday parties, Yacht Lifeboat show events, the Summer Dreams weekend event at Top Golf and many more.”

“I discovered that 8 distillations created magic – the perfect cut,” says Victor G. Harvey, Founder of Victor George Vodka. “By combining different distillation techniques with traditional craftsmanship, I developed a one-of-a-kind, elevated vodka that features a slow distillation process, giving the gluten-free vodka a silky-smooth, non-burning finish.”

Harvey added, “I am very excited to have the opportunity to begin the next stages for the Victor George Vodka brand. Over the next few months, we plan to accelerate our proven business strategy to increase awareness and sales of Victor George Vodka in our key markets and anticipate making significant announcements regarding growth and expansion opportunities including international sales, distribution deals, marketing initiatives, and celebrity partnerships.”

Harvey concluded, “Victor George Vodka is positioned to become a luxury brand leader in the ultra-premium spirits industry, particularly with affluent urban consumers whose exclusive lifestyles and desire for exceptional products are influenced by music, fashion, sports, and entertainment.”

Originally only available at a select group of liquor stores, restaurants, and bars, Victor George Vodka is now available throughout the state of Florida with the help of local distributor Peninsula Beverage.  Vodka lovers in Florida can expect to find this ultra-premium spirit available in the following formats: 750ml bottles ($18.99), 1L bottles ($25.99), and 1.75ml bottles ($28.99).
