Catawba Brewing Co. (Morganton, North Carolina) recently announced that it will introduce Festbier in mid-August as the brewery’s newest Specialty Release.
After proving to be quite the crowd-pleaser when it debuted in 2016 as a part of Catawba Brewing’s Small Batch Program, Festbier is set to return next month with full availability in packaging and on draft. Brewed to honor Oktoberfest and German brewing tradition as a whole, Festbier is an authentic German-style Lager that “represents a lighter, more sessionable evolution of the classic Marzën style.” At 5.3% ABV and 25 IBUs, this easy-drinker “showcases [a] distinctive Vienna malt character” that has been “balanced with a touch of Noble hop bitterness.”
Festbier will officially release in mid-August and will hang around through the month of September. This Specialty Release will be available in 6-packs of 12 oz. cans and on draft at craft beer establishments located in Alabama, North Carolina and throughout the rest of Catawba Brewing Co.’s distribution footprint. Prost!
