Stone Brewing (Escondido, California) has announced that Stone Xocoveza, an Imperial Stout inspired by Mexican hot chocolate, has officially returned for the 2019 Holiday Season.
First introduced back in 2014 as “a limited special collaboration release with San Diego homebrewer Chris Banker (after his recipe won [Stone Brewing’s] annual homebrew competition) and Cerveceria Insurgente,” Stone Xocoveza is an Imperial Stout that creates a Mexican hot chocolate experience with the use of “coffee, pasilla peppers, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and a generous amount of chocolate.” Coming in at a comforting 8.1% ABV, Stone Xocoveza “makes a perfect wintry gift from you to your friends, loved ones, or simply to yourself.”
Stone Xocoveza started rolling out at the end of September and is scheduled to hang around through the Holidays and the entire 2019 winter season. You can expect to find this Special Release available in 6-packs of 12 oz. cans, 22 oz. bottles and on draft at select craft beer-focused establishments located in Alabama, Florida, California, Virginia and throughout the rest of Stone Brewing’s nationwide distribution network. Prost!
