North Coast Brewing Co. Puts Scrimshaw Pilsner in Cans

NCBC-Website-Header-NC-Whale-Logo (1)North Coast Brewing Co. (Fort Bragg, California) has officially announced that its best-selling Scrimshaw Pilsner is hitting craft beer shelves now as the brewery’s first ever canned beer offering.

Developed in 1988 with a destiny to one day become North Coast Brewing Co.’s first canned beer, Scrimshaw is a Pilsner “brewed in the finest European tradition using Munich malt and Hallertauer and Tettnang hops.”  Coming in at just 4.5% ABV, 138 calories and 11 grams of carbs, Scrimshaw offers “a subtle hop character, a crisp, clean palate and a dry finish.”

“As a pioneer in the craft beer movement, we have always focused on brewing exceptional beers,” says North Coast Brewing CEO Jeffrey Ottoboni. “With this exciting release, we are making our beers more accessible — from draft to bottles to cans. We are proud to share Scrimshaw with devoted and new fans alike, and feel fortunate to be a part of the experiences these cans will help inspire. As an independent brewery, we’re looking toward the future of our industry and meeting the changing needs of craft beer fans, while always holding true to our long-time brewing traditions.”

Scrimshaw is available now in 12-packs of 12 oz. cans in California and further distribution of these cans is expected to be announced in the near future.  This Year-Round offering is also available in 6-packs of 12 oz. bottles and on draft at craft beer-focused establishments located in Alabama, Florida, California and throughout the rest of North Coast’s distribution area.  Prost!
