Alesmith Brewing Company (San Diego, California) has officially announced that Hazy .394, a Hazy San Diego-style Pale Ale that is a tribute to Hall-of-Famer Tony Gwynn, will return for a Seasonal Release in late April 2020.
Brewed in collaboration with the late, great Tony Gwynn to celebrate his Hall of Fame career – .394 is a nod to Gwynn’s career-high batting average – and the (hopeful) return of this year’s baseball season, Hazy .394 is a Hazy/Juicy Pale Ale that “showcases an intense hop aroma of tropical fruit and citrus.” Boasting “palate-pleasing characteristics” and an easy-drinking 6% ABV, Hazy .394 is a “guaranteed hit” that features “a more full-bodied and creamier pour than its predecessor,” the original San Diego Pale Ale .394.
“For this creation we combined the intense hop aromas of our hazy IPAs with the delightful smoothness of .394 Pale Ale,” AleSmith’s Head Brewer, Ryan Crisp says. “The result is an irresistibly hoppy and exceptionally drinkable Hazy Pale Ale that’s bursting with notes of juicy grapefruit and mango.”
Hazy .394 is rolling out now and will stick around through June 2020. You can expect to find this Seasonal offering available in 6-packs of 12 oz. cans and on draft at craft beer-friendly establishments located within Alesmith Brewing Company’s distribution footprint in California, Arizona, Minnesota, Virginia, Ohio and Texas. Prost!
