AleSmith Brewing Releases Speedway Stout Variant Nationwide for First Time

AleSmith Brewing Company (San Diego, California) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Speedway Stout Espresso and Madagascar Vanilla in early January 2021.

Dropping as the first of four variants of AleSmith’s iconic Speedway Stout to be released nationwide in 2021, Speedway Stout Special Variant #1: Speedway Stout Espresso and Madagascar Vanilla (12% ABV) is “a signature edition of [Speedway Stout] infused with tons of Madagascar vanilla and a bold espresso blend, bestowing intense notes of chocolate, coffee, vanilla and dark fruit.” This release of Speedway Stout Espresso and Madagascar Vanilla marks “the first time the brewery distributes their canned Speedway variants on a national scale.”

Speedway Stout Espresso and Madagascar Vanilla is rolling out now and will be available through February 2021 (as long as supplies last). Vital Information for Speedway Stout Espresso and Madagascar Vanilla from AleSmith Brewing Company

Release – Limited/Speedway Stout Special Variant Series; January – February 2021
Style – Imperial Stout
ABV – 12%
Added Ingredients – Espresso coffee & Madagascar vanilla
Fun Fact – “For those unfamiliar with AleSmith’s original Speedway Stout, it is best characterized by dominant chocolate and roasted malts supported by notes of dark fruit, toffee and caramel. A healthy dose of locally roasted coffee added to each batch brings out the beer’s dark chocolate flavors and enhances its drinkability. Despite its intensity, Speedway Stout’s fine carbonation and creamy mouthfeel make it very smooth and surprisingly easy to drink, yielding the perfect canvas for Head Brewer Ryan Crisp and his team of creatives to produce unique blends and variants that exemplify what makes their imperial stout so beloved, while incorporating complexities that rev up the tasting experience.”

Alesmith Brewing Company Readies for Baseball Season with Release of Hazy .394

12ozCan_Mockup-Hazy.394_webAlesmith Brewing Company (San Diego, California) has officially announced that Hazy .394, a Hazy San Diego-style Pale Ale that is a tribute to Hall-of-Famer Tony Gwynn, will return for a Seasonal Release in late April 2020.

Brewed in collaboration with the late, great Tony Gwynn to celebrate his Hall of Fame career – .394 is a nod to Gwynn’s career-high batting average – and the (hopeful) return of this year’s baseball season, Hazy .394 is a Hazy/Juicy Pale Ale that “showcases an intense hop aroma of tropical fruit and citrus.” Boasting “palate-pleasing characteristics” and an easy-drinking 6% ABV, Hazy .394 is a “guaranteed hit” that features “a more full-bodied and creamier pour than its predecessor,” the original San Diego Pale Ale .394.

“For this creation we combined the intense hop aromas of our hazy IPAs with the delightful smoothness of .394 Pale Ale,” AleSmith’s Head Brewer, Ryan Crisp says. “The result is an irresistibly hoppy and exceptionally drinkable Hazy Pale Ale that’s bursting with notes of juicy grapefruit and mango.”

Hazy .394 is rolling out now and will stick around through June 2020.  You can expect to find this Seasonal offering available in 6-packs of 12 oz. cans and on draft at craft beer-friendly establishments located within Alesmith Brewing Company’s distribution footprint in California, Arizona, Minnesota, Virginia, Ohio and Texas.  Prost!
