Founders Brewing Co. (Grand Rapids, Michigan) took to their Cadre Newsletter this morning to inform fans that they plan to begin the Limited Release of Highball Drifter, the second release in the brewery’s newly established Bottle Shop Series, in August 2021.

Modeled after the classic Old Fashioned cocktail, Highball Drifter is a Bourbon Barrel-aged American Strong Ale with orange peel and cherry added. Coming in at a smooth sippin’ 11% ABV, Highball Drifter “presents aromatics of caramel and vanilla, dried fruit and spice while hints of cherry and bitter orange peel whisk you away like a tumbling tumbleweed.”

Highball Drifter is scheduled to debut in August 2021 and will hang around only as long as supplies last. You can expect to find this Limited Release available in 4-packs of 12 oz. bottles at select craft beer-friendly establishments located in Alabama, Florida, Michigan and throughout the rest of Founders Brewing Co.’s nationwide distribution network.
