JDub’s Brewing Co. Updates Packaging Design

jdubslogoJDub’s Brewing Company (Sarasota, Florida) recently announced that they are kicking off a brand update this fall with “refreshed” can designs for their Poolside Kölsch and Up Top! IPA.

To create a look that is more “reflective of the [brewery’s] meaning and current standing in the marketplace”, the shot callers at JDub’s Brewing Company have decided to overhaul the label artwork for their current portfolio of canned offerings.  This update will be gradual and will begin with two of the brewery’s Flagship Beers: Poolside Kölsch and Up Top! IPA.

For more information on why the brewery has initiated this change, here is what Jeremy Joerger, Owner of JDub’s Brewing Company, had to say on the matter:

“It’s about time for a ‘facelift’ for the cans.  As we grow and evolve, it’s important to look not just to the future for ways to innovate and stay relevant, but also at what we are currently doing and make sure nothing about the brand is stagnant. Also, I wanted to evolve from putting our core values of Quality, Innovation and Culture on the cans to what this brand truly represents, living the life you love and following your dream. That is my story and what I want this brand to mean to people. I’m stoked about these cans and think they reflect what we are and continue to be, a growing, quality Southeast brand.”

– Jeremy Joerger, JDub’s Brewing Company Owner

The new-look Poolside Kölsch and Up Top! IPA cans will officially roll-out this fall, and “plans are underway to refresh Passion Wheat and Bell Cow Milk Chocolate Porter cans” in the near future.  Look for these new cans to be on shelves soon at craft beer retailers located within JDub’s distribution footprint in Florida and Georgia.  Prost!

JDub’s Brewing Company to Open Off-Site Taproom in Bradenton, Florida

jdubslogoJDub’s Brewing Company (Sarasota, Florida) has announced that they will open an off-site taproom location, The Dub Shack at UTC, in Bradenton, Florida.  This location is tentatively scheduled to open at the end of January.

**UPDATE** The Dub Shack at UTC officially opened to the public on January 27.  As of January 30, The Dub Shack at UTC is open seven days a week at noon.  **UPDATE**

In what was formerly a World of Beer franchise location, JDub’s Brewing Company has found the perfect home for their new off-site taproom at 8217 Tourist Center Drive, Bradenton, Florida. The concept behind The Dub Shack at UTC is to provide the brewery’s fans with “an experience that mimics the feel of the brewery itself” but in an area that is a bit more accessible than the brewery’s taproom location in Sarasota.  The off-site taproom will feature “a live video feed of brewing operations at JDub’s Brewing Company,” art from local artists, and 40 draft lines – “20 of which devoted to JDub’s beers and the other 20 a variety of high quality craft beers made by other brewers.”

“This is something I’ve wanted to do for years. My brewery is slightly off the beaten path and this new location will allow us to show off our brand in a more populated location.”

– Jeremy Joerger, JDub’s founder

Tentatively scheduled for January 26, The Dub Shack at UTC will host a soft opening for JDub’s Mug Club Members and media only.  The facility will then open to the public shortly thereafter.  Once exact dates are set in stone, we will update you all with that information here.  Prost!

JDub’s Brewing to Expand Distribution to Georgia, Bell Cow Milk Chocolate Porter Goes Nitro

jdubsbellcowposterJDub’s Brewing Company (Sarasota, Florida) recently hit craft beer fans with two exciting pieces of brewery news:

  1. Beers from JDub’s Brewing Company will soon be available in Georgia.
  2. The brewery’s Bell Cow Milk Chocolate Porter will now be available on draft exclusively as a Nitro offering.

As far as that first nugget of brew news goes, the folks at JDub’s Brewing are pleased to announce that they are currently interviewing distributors so that they can soon expand distribution into the state of Georgia.  Thanks to recent data showing that JDub’s Brewing Company is currently “the #1 selling Florida craft brewery amongst all beers sold in Florida liquor stores” (source: IRI sales data), the brewery now has the confidence to undertake this expansion and introduce Georgia craft beer fans to their offerings.  The brewery currently has a “solid relationship” with Kroger, and this will be a focus of the distribution expansion into Georgia.

“Kroger is a giant account, for any brewer in America. We’ve been eager to get our beers in the Kroger stores for a long time and are thrilled to roll up our sleeves and being working with them. They truly ‘get’ craft beer.” Jeremy “JDub” Joerger

In other news that is sure to delight all fans of Bell Cow Milk Chocolate Porter from JDub’s Brewing, the brewery has “decided to discontinue production of the CO2 version in draft form and from this point forward, will only produce Nitro Bell Cow on draft.”  This move comes after the public has created a high demand for the richer, creamier experience found in the nitrogenated version of Bell Cow, and the decision makers at the brewery feel that this is the right direction to take moving forward.  With that said, the canned version of Bell Cow Milk Chocolate Porter will remain in CO2 form “for the foreseeable future.”

This is fantastic news for JDub’s Brewing Company and the brewery’s growth moving forward.  Beer lovers in Georgia can expect to see offerings from the brewery in the very near future, and JDub’s fans throughout the brewery’s distribution footprint can enjoy Bell Cow’s full transition to Nitro draft effective immediately.  Prost!
