Tröegs Independent Brewing (Hershey, Pennsylvania) has officially announced that it will begin the Seasonal Release of Lucky Holler Hazy IPA in August 2020.
Arriving as the latest release in the brewery’s Hop Cycle line-up of seasonally rotating IPAs and heavily “inspired by the brewery’s annual pilgrimage to the Pacific Northwest for hop selection,” Lucky Holler is a Hazy/Juicy India Pale Ale that “[explores] the intersection of Simcoe, Citra and the Australian hop Galaxy.” This carefully selected combination of hops “delivers bright waves of ripe pineapple and tropical gummies on the nose, layered with notes of juicy citrus and ripe passionfruit.” Coming in at 6.8% ABV, Lucky Holler is “a hazy, hoppy harvest ale that’s so good you’ll wanna holler!”
“We go to Yakima to select hops for the beers that everybody knows and loves,” says Tröegs brewmaster and cofounding brother John Trogner. “Beers like Perpetual IPA, Nimble Giant and Nugget Nectar. And we’re also open to discovering new hops or combinations that might inspire us, an ‘a-ha’ moment where a new recipe starts taking shape.”
Lucky Holler is rolling out now and will be available throughout the months of fall. You can expect to find this new Seasonal Release available in 12 oz. cans, 12 oz bottles and on draft at craft beer-focused establishments located within Tröegs Independent Brewing’s full distribution footprint. Prost!
