Brewery Ommegang Sends Oak Aged Tripel Out for a Limited Release

Brewery Ommegang (Cooperstown, New York) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Oak Aged Tripel in May 2022.

A beer that once again displays Ommegang’s Belgian heritage, Oak Aged Tripel is a Belgian-style Tripel spiced with sweet orange peel, coriander and licorice root and then aged on American Oak chips. Although it clocks in at a sizable 9% ABV, Oak Aged Tripel surprisingly remains “an easy-drinking strong ale, brimming with vanilla and caramelized sugar.”

Oak Aged Tripel is scheduled to arrive in May 2022 and will hang around only as long as supplies last. You can expect to find this Limited Release available in 4-packs of 12 oz. bottles and on draft at select craft beer-friendly establishments located in Alabama, Florida, New York and throughout the rest of Ommegang’s distribution territory. Prost!
