Maui Brewing Company (Kihei, Hawaii) has officially announced that Land of Rainbows Tart Saison will return for a limited time beginning in late June 2019.
Crafted with summertime drinking in mind, Land of Rainbows is a kettle soured Saison-style Ale brewed with Mosaic and Huell Melon hops. Coming in at a thirst-crushing 5.5% ABV and 15 IBUs, the “hazy and pale” Land of Rainbows provides its drinker with “wine-like esters, and . . . a tart, fruity flavor.”
“When creating this recipe, I wanted a beer that was light, tart, and refreshing that would be ideal for hot summer days on Maui,” stated Brewmaster Kim Brisson-Lutz. “The blend of Sacc Brux Trios yeast, the acidity from the sour ferment, and Mosaic and Huell Melon hops creates a huge tropical flavor profile of lychee, mango, passionfruit, and berries. Taste Da Rainbow!”
Land of Rainbows released at Maui Brewing Company’s Kihei location on June 19 and is scheduled to hit the brewery’s other locations and distribution in the coming weeks. You can expect to find this Limited Release available in 4-packs of 12 oz. cans and on draft at select craft beer-friendly establishments located “in Hawaii and a few west coast markets.” Prost!
