Funky Buddha Brewery (Oakland Park, Florida) has officially announced that it will introduce Coquito Cream Ale on October 26 as the Winter Release in the brewery’s Mixology Series.
Developed to emulate “the classic Puerto Rican holiday drink” of the same name, Coquito is an Imperial Cream Ale “brewed with lactose sugar for a creamy body and mouthfeel,” aged for an extended period of time in “Caribbean rum barrels to impart characteristics of sugar cane and oak,” and finally blended with “coconut, cinnamon, and vanilla for luscious notes reminiscent of the holiday drink.” The finished Coquito comes in at 10.3% ABV and 30 IBUs.
Coquito Cream Ale is set to debut on October 26 and scheduled to last into January 2020. You can expect to find this new Limited Release available in 4-packs of 12 oz. bottles and on draft at select craft beer-friendly establishments located in Alabama, Florida, and throughout the rest of Funky Buddha’s distribution footprint. Prost!
