Hi-Wire Brewing (Asheville, North Carolina) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release Cryo Double IPA in mid-July 2020.

Developed to showcase “pioneering [cryo hop] technology from Yakima Chief Hops,” Cryo is a “big sticky” Double India Pale Ale “brewed with Citra hops and Cascade cryo pellets.” Coming in at 9% ABV, Cryo Double IPA has “very dank and tropical hop notes with the firm bitterness one needs to back up distinctive melon, grapefruit, and sweet citrus flavors.”

Cryo Double IPA debuted at Hi-Wire’s Asheville taproom locations and in its online store on July 17, and is scheduled to hit all other Hi-Wire locations and full distribution in the coming days. You can expect to find this Limited Release available in 4-packs of 16 oz. cans at select craft beer-focused establishments located within the brewery’s distribution footprint in Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Ohio and Kentucky.
