Festbier Joins Hi-Wire Brewing’s Local Lager Series

Hi-Wire Brewing (Asheville, North Carolina) has officially announced that it will continue its Local Lager Series, “a lineup featuring some of [the brewery’s] favorite lager styles while utilizing North Carolina-sourced ingredients,” with the mid-September release of Festbier.

Crafted to be the “more quaffable, easy-drinking version of the brewery’s 2016 Great American Beer Festival Gold Medal Winning Zirkusfest Oktoberfest,” Festbier is an Oktoberfest-style Lager “brewed with Ursprung Fest Malt from North Carolina’s Epiphany Craft Malt.” Coming in at 5.8% ABV, Festbier is a “crisp and pleasant lager [that] has a balanced malt character with an aroma reminiscent of fresh-baked bread.”

Festbier is available now at Hi-Wire Brewing’s Asheville and Durham taprooms and online beer shop, and it will soon hit the brewery’s Knoxville location and full distribution area. You can expect to find this Limited Release available in 4-packs of 16 oz. cans at select craft beer-focused establishments located in Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio and Virginia. Prost!
