AleSmith Brewing Releases Third Variant of the Year of Speedway Stout

AleSmith Brewing Company (San Diego, California) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Speedway Stout Variant #3: Mexican Dark Chocolate, Sea Salt and Mexican Coffee in mid-August 2021.

Arriving as 2021’s third variant of AleSmith’s legendary Speedway Stout, Speedway Stout Variant #3: Mexican Dark Chocolate, Sea Salt and Mexican Coffee is an Imperial Stout that has been dosed – just as its name suggests – with a tempting mix of Mexican dark chocolate, sea salt and Mexican coffee. Coming in at 12% ABV, Speedway Stout Variant #3: Mexican Dark Chocolate, Sea Salt and Mexican Coffee boasts a “decadent, roasty and chocolatey flavor profile.”

β€œFor this special edition of our signature imperial stout, we were inspired to feature ingredients from our neighbors to the south,” says Ryan Crisp, Head Brewer and Director of Brewery Operations. β€œWe used a trio of Mexican dark chocolate, sea salt and Mexican coffee to give the beer notes of cacao and dark fruit, plus a subtle touch of cinnamon and roasty earthiness.”

Speedway Stout Variant #3: Mexican Dark Chocolate, Sea Salt and Mexican Coffee is rolling out now and scheduled to hang around through September 2021. You can expect to find this Limited Release available in 4-packs of 16 oz. cans at select craft beer-focused establishments located in California and throughout the rest of AleSmith’s distribution territory. Prost!
