AleSmith Brewing Closes Out 2021 with Release of Speedway Stout Variant #4

AleSmith Brewing Company (San Diego, California) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Speedway Stout Variant #4: Madagascar Vanilla & Ceylon Alba Cinnamon in mid-November 2021.

Dropping as this year’s final, quarterly-released variant of AleSmith’s legendary Speedway Stout, Speedway Stout Variant #4: Madagascar Vanilla & Ceylon Alba Cinnamon has the original Imperial Stout’s “chocolate and roasted malts bolstered by notes of dark fruit, toffee and caramel” and “[offers] up some comfort for the cooler fall and winter months by infusing it with a generous amount of Madagascar vanilla beans, along with just the right amount of Ceylon Alba cinnamon.” Coming in at 12% ABV, Speedway Stout Variant #4: Madagascar Vanilla & Ceylon Alba Cinnamon boasts “a delicate milky sweetness interlaced with notes of chocolate, roast and subtle hints of spiciness.”

“We always look forward to these quarterly releases, so I’m thrilled to bring this next variant to Speedway Stout lovers everywhere,” says Ryan Crisp, Head Brewer and Director of Brewery Operations at AleSmith. “It’s a really fun concept, since we get to exercise our creativity during the brewing process, plus we know our Imperial stout has a large following of beer-drinkers that look forward to trying these new creations, which makes it that much more rewarding. This will be a strong end to our 2021 series!”

Fun Fact – “For those unfamiliar with AleSmith’s original Speedway Stout, it is best characterized by dominant chocolate and roasted malts supported by notes of dark fruit, toffee and caramel. A healthy dose of locally roasted coffee added to each batch brings out the beer’s dark chocolate flavors and enhances its drinkability. Despite its intensity, Speedway Stout’s fine carbonation and creamy mouthfeel make it very smooth and surprisingly easy to drink, yielding the perfect canvas for Head Brewer Ryan Crisp and his team of creatives to produce unique blends and variants that exemplify what makes their imperial stout so beloved, while incorporating complexities that rev up the tasting experience.”
