Coppertail Brewing to Celebrate 3rd Anniversary with Florida Weisse Festival

coppertaillogowhiteOn Saturday, August 26 at 1 p.m., Coppertail Brewing Co. (Tampa, Florida) will recognize its 3rd Anniversary by once again hosting a Florida Weisse Party at the brewery.

Three years of bringing “quality, Florida-brewed beer to the thirsty masses” are in the books, and Coppertail Brewing Co. is more than ready to celebrate the occasion.  Just like last year, Coppertail’s birthday theme will be “Celebrate Florida Weisse”, a party boasting a ridiculous lineup of Berliner Weisse-style brews created by their brewers and several guest breweries.  We have quite a bit to go over when it comes to this anniversary throw down, so let’s get to the details.

There is no denying that the list above is pretty damn awesome, but those are not the only brews that will be pouring at this event.  That’s right . . . Entertainment & Food

The good folks at Coppertail Brewing Co. know that you cannot possibly have a party without music, so they have booked Sun Signs, Mike Mass, and Mountain Holler to play this event.  The festival will also feature live limited-edition t-shirt printing and some tasty eats from Coppertail’s S & V Kitchen.

Admission Information

Coppertail’s Florida Weisse Festival is free to attend and tickets are not needed to gain entry.  All you have to do is show up and pay per pour.

Morimoto Asia to Host Inaugural Craft Beers and Bites Festival

unnamed (33)On Saturday, July 29 at 1 p.m., Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs (1600 East Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, Florida) will showcase Florida craft breweries alongside gourmet food pairings at the restaurant’s first Craft Beers and Bites Festival.

Chef Masaharu Morimoto has long been an avid supporter of pairing fine food with great craft beer, and this practice will now have an opportunity to be on full display at the Morimoto Asia Craft Beers and Bites Festival.  Taking place on the restaurant’s second level, this event will feature the craft beers of eight Florida breweries alongside a menu of individual food pairings prepared by Morimoto Asia Executive Chef, Yuhi Fujinaga.  The full menu and list of paired breweries are as follows:

Tickets for the Morimoto Asia Craft Beers and Bites Festival are available now, and you can purchase yours online for the price of $40 each (plus tax & gratuity) by clicking here.  Ticket cost gains you entrance into the event and unlimited access to the beers and bites.  100% of all profits raised from the Beers and Bites Festival will go to benefit Children’s Home Society of Florida to aid in their mission to build bridges to success for children.

Admission into the Florida Weisse Party is free, and beers are $5 per pour (bring cash to help lines move quickly).  Beers will be served in plastic cups, but you also have the option to purchase a limited Florida Weisse glass to use during the event (while supplies last).  In addition to the plethora of Berliners on tap, Coppertail also mentions that there will be “food and a special bottle release.”

If you are free on Saturday and in the Tampa area, you should plan to drop in and explore the Berliner Weisse style at this very special event.  I leave you with this one pro-tip: make sure to drink plenty of water and pack some antacids.  With that many tart/sour ales, you are going to need them.  Prost!
