Restricted Area DIPA Joins New Realm’s Monsters & Myths Series

New Realm Brewing Company (Atlanta, Georgia) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Restricted Area Double IPA in late April 2022.

The second release of 2022 in the brewery’s Monsters & Myths Series of Limited Release brews inspired by the “world’s most famous (and infamous) mythical legends,” Restricted Area – a reference to the secrets housed at Area 51 – is a West Coast-style Double India Pale Ale “brewed with a paranormal amount of Citra and Mosaic hops for a hop-forward beer that is ripe with citrus, berry, and stone fruit aromatics.” Coming in at 9% ABV and 50 IBUs, Restricted Area is sure to “transfer [you] to another dimension.”

“Restricted Area is a classic West Coast-style DIPA, exclusively brewed with two popular hop varieties, Citra and Mosaic. We had never brewed a beer that exclusively used these two hops, until a recent pilot brew. It was so well received in our taproom, that we knew we needed to use this blend in Restricted Area DIPA. Besides being dry-hopped at 3 lbs. per barrel, we also used a blend of American, English and German malts to this DIPA, to give Restricted Area even more complexity and depth.” Shared Mitch Steele, Co-Founder and Brewmaster of New Realm Brewing.

New Realm Brewing Closes Out 2020 Monsters & Myths Series with El JuicyCabra DIPA

New Realm Brewing Company (Atlanta, Georgia) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of El JuicyCabra, the fourth and final release of 2020 in the brewery’s Monsters and Myths Double IPA Series, on October 20.

Inspired by and named after “the insatiable folk legend” of El Chupacabra, El JuicyCabra is a “New England meets West Coast” Double India Pale Ale that has been “aggressively” dry-hopped with Amarillo, Mosaic and Calypso hops to create “intense tropical fruit, stone fruit, and citrus notes.” Clocking in at 9% ABV and 50 IBUs, El JuicyCabra comes together to be a “super juicy, yet clear, Double IPA.”

“What we tried to do with El JuicyCabra DIPA was combine the best of both worlds, the juiciness of a Hazy IPA, and the clarity of more traditional styles. The result is a tasty DIPA with tropical citrus and herbal hop character” said Mitch Steele, Co-Founder, and Brewmaster of New Realm Brewing.

“With our Monsters & Myths lineup, we created a series of Double IPAs that allowed us to include our award-winning Tyrannosaurus Flex DIPA from the year before. During concepting and brainstorming sessions, we agreed that the versatility to explore various folk legends and depict them in a silly and fun manner was the right direction. El JuicyCabra’s look was a challenge, but while exploring a YouTube rabbit hole on El Chupacabra, and some additional research, the light bulb went off,” said Erik Leach, Brand Marketing Coordinator of New Realm Brewing.

El JuicyCabra is scheduled to officially release at New Realm’s Atlanta and Virginia Beach locations on October 20 and distribution will begin at or around that date as well. New Realm Brewing Brings Tyrannosaurus Flex DIPA Back for an Encore Release

New Realm Brewing Company (Atlanta, Georgia) has officially announced that Tyrannosaurus Flex Hazy Double IPA will return for a limited time beginning on Tuesday, July 28.

Back to serve as the third release in New Realm’s Monsters & Myths DIPA Series, Tyrannosaurus Flex is a Hazy/Juicy Double India Pale Ale featuring 100% Australian hops – Galaxy, Wakatu, Ella and Vic Secret hops. This hop bill provides “a cretaceous amount of juicy, fruity notes such as mango, pineapple, peach, apricot and citrus . . . balanced with an herbal, piney and lightly-dank full body.” Weighing in at 8.5% ABV and 35 IBUs, the “hazy beast” that is Tyrannosaurus Flex has returned to claim its title as “the ruler of the realm!”

“Southern Hemisphere hops are some of our favorites, many varieties produce unique tropical and citrus fruit flavors. New Realm Brewing Company (Atlanta, Georgia) has officially announced that it will introduce fans to Jacked ‘Squatch, the second release in the brewery’s Monsters & Myths Double IPA Series, in early June 2020.

Inspired by the “big-footed ‘hide-and-seek world champion’” (a.k.a. Bigfoot or Sasquatch), Jacked ‘Squatch is a “mighty, hop forward” West Coast-style Double India Pale Ale featuring Citra, Centennial, Simcoe and Vic Secret hops. Weighing in at a sizable 9% ABV and 50 IBUs, Jacked ‘Squatch is “packed with a beastly amount of hops for an aromatic blend of citrus, peach, pine, and tropical fruit.”
