DESTIHL Brewery Kicks Off Spring with Release of Piña Colada Gose & Hawaii Five Ale

DESTIHLPinaDESTIHL Brewery (Normal, Illinois) has officially announced that it is greeting spring with two, new tropical-inspired offerings, WiLD Sour Series – Piña Colada Gose and Hawaii Five Ale.

Surfacing as the second of four WiLD Sour Series Seasonal releases in 2019, Piña Colada Gose (5.7% ABV) is DESTIHL’s “take on [the] Leipzig-style Gose, which is brewed with pineapple and coconut for a tropical twist on the classic sour ale.”  This marriage of flavors “provides an added layer of sweet, fruity complexity to the brewery’s Gose that is already known for its tart, citrusy qualities while still balanced by French sea salt and hints of spice from added coriander.”

Also here to provide you with “a taste of paradise” this spring, Hawaii Five Ale is an American Blonde Ale infused with “tropical flavors of pineapple, coconut, mango, peach and guava.”  Weighing in at an easy-drinking 6.4% ABV, Hawaii Five Ale will have you “singing the song of the islands” after just one sip.

Piña Colada Gose and Hawaii Five Ale both enter distribution in April.  Piña Colada Gose will be available through June 2019 and Hawaii Five Ale is scheduled to hang around through August 2019.  You can expect to find both of these Seasonal offerings available in 12 oz. cans and on draft at craft beer-friendly establishments located in Alabama, Florida, Illinois and throughout the rest of DESTIHL’s distribution area.  Prost!

DESTIHL Brewery Unveils 2019 Beer Release Calendar

DESTIHLWSPinaRecognizing that beer calendar season is now in full swing, DESTIHL Brewery (Normal, Illinois) has gotten in on the action by sending out a 2019 Beer Release Calendar boasting “a new WiLD SOUR SERIES seasonal, innovative DeadHead IPA Series releases . . ., a tropical blonde ale loaded with fruit” and much more.

Just as we do with all beer calendar-related posts, we have published DESTIHL Brewery’s full 2019 Beer Release Calendar below for you to look over at your leisure.  Before we turn you loose on that document, there are a few details that we need to get out of the way first:

  • Hawaii Five Ale, “a tropical blonde ale brewed with pineapple, coconut, peach, mango and guava”, will join DESTIHL’s lineup of Core Seasonals in March 2019.
  • The Seasonal WiLD SOUR Series will have a new addition in 2019 when Piña Colada Gose – a Gose ale brewed with pineapple and coconut – hits shelves for the first time in 4-packs of 12 oz. cans from April to June.  The Seasonal WiLD SOUR lineup will also include Apricot (January – March), Blueberry Gose (July – September) and Cranberry Criek (October – December).
  • The DeadHead IPA Series will return in 2019 with Touch of Haze | Hazy IPA (January 2019), Haze of the Dead | Hazy Double IPA (February – April), Extended Jam| Tropical IPA (May – July), and Funkengruven | Fruited, Tart IPA (August – October).
  • The highly awarded, barrel-aged Dosvidanya Russian Imperial Stout will be back in November for its annual Specialty Release.

Synchopathic Apricot Joins DESTIHL Brewery’s WiLD SOUR SERIES

DESTIHLSynchApricotSaleSheet_editedDESTIHL Brewery (Normal, Illinois) has officially announced that Synchopathic Apricot will soon be released as the next Seasonal offering to come out of the brewery’s WiLD SOUR SERIES.

Arriving as the third of four seasonal releases in DESTIHL Brewery’s 2017 WiLD SOUR SERIES (Flanders Red and Blueberry Gose preceded this release), Synchopathic Apricot is a “refreshingly tart sour ale with the citrus dry-hopping of a pale ale . . . and an uplifting stone fruit beat from added apricots.”  Like all beers in the WiLD SOUR SERIES, Synchopathic Apricot is then “kettle soured utilizing the brewery’s own culture of wild microflora originally harvested from the terroir of Central Illinois.”  This all results in a 6% ABV Sour Ale that is filled with “truly authentic sour, tart, fruity and floral characteristics.”

Synchopathic Apricot will officially release in August and hang around through the fall months.  Look for this new Seasonal offering to be available in 4-packs of 12 oz. cans and on draft at craft beer-focused retailers, bars and restaurants located in Florida, Illinois and throughout the rest of DESTIHL Brewery’s 20-state distribution network.  Prost!
