Great Divide Brewing Company (Denver, Colorado) has officially announced that it will be expanding the Yeti Clan in October with the introduction of Chai Yeti.
To create the newest member of the Yeti family, the brewers at Great Divide Brewing decided to take their iconic Imperial Stout back to “the Yeti’s homeland . . . of the Himalayas” and unite this creature of lore with the area’s classic chai spices. Proving to be a perfect union, the “traditional chai spices of cinnamon, green cardamom, black pepper, ginger, nutmeg, and vanilla blend seamlessly with [Chai Yeti’s] rich, roasted malt backbone for a spicy beast fit to tackle Everest.”
“Chai Yeti is a natural fit to the Yeti lineup,” said Brian Dunn, founder of Great Divide Brewing Company. “We thought the chai spices would work well with the chocolate and roasty malt character of Yeti.”
Chai Yeti will officially launch in October and hang around through December of this year. You can expect to find this Seasonal member of the Yeti Clan available in 22 oz. bottles and on draft at craft beer establishments located in Alabama, Florida, Colorado and throughout the rest of Great Divide Brewing’s distribution footprint. Prost!
