Heavy Seas Beer (Baltimore, Maryland) has officially announced that it will hold a Limited Can Release for City Sipper, a low-calorie IPA, during the weekend of September 25, 2020.
What proved to be “a true test of [the Heavy Seas brewing team’s] ability to employ non-traditional brewing techniques and ingredients to create a truly enjoyable, flavorful experience,” City Sipper is a Session India Pale Ale brewed with “malted and flaked oats, torrified and malted wheat, Sabro, Citra, and Simcoe Cryo Lupulin Powder hops, along with just the right amount of fresh Key Lime Juice.” Coming in at just 4% ABV, City Sipper is a “hazy, aromatic crusher” that “has all the flavor of your favorite IPA, without the high calorie count—so you can keep sipping all day!”
“Sometimes you want all of the flavor of an IPA, without the hefty calories,” says Heavy Seas Associate Brand Manager, Amanda Zivkovic. “City Sipper is for the person that wants a lighter option but doesn’t want to compromise the flavor of their beer in the process. It’s juicy, sessionable, and at 4.0% ABV and 95 calories, you can’t beat it!”
City Sipper – packaged in 4-packs of 16 oz. cans – will be available for curbside pickup at Heavy Seas Beer from Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27. City Sipper is a brewery exclusive Limited Release that will not see distribution. Prost!
