Pontoon Brewing (Sandy Springs, Georgia) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Witching Hour on October 1, 2021.

Here to keep the Halloween vibe alive all month long, Witching Hour is a Belgian-style Tripel featuring a “clean malt flavor and a spicy, dry character that is fragrant with bubble gum esters and Belgian candi sugar aromas.” Coming in at a 9% ABV, Witching Hour has lingering “bubblegum, banana and pear fruity esters . . . while finishing dry and warming with alcohol.”

Witching Hour will see a pre-sale on OZNR at 7 p.m. on October 1 (pick up begins at noon on October 2) and distribution will follow shortly after the on-site release. Tampa Bay Brewing Company (Tampa, Florida) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Ethereal Drift, a Hazy IPA brewed in collaboration with Woven Water Brewing Company (Tampa, Florida), in late September 2021.

Crafted to capture everyone’s mutual love of hops, Ethereal Drift is a Hazy/Juicy India Pale Ale featuring Talus, BRU-1, Idaho 7 and Citra Cryo hops. Coming in at 7% ABV, Ethereal Drift’s hop profile offers “aromas of pineapple, citrus, and pine resin” followed by “elements of pineapple, yuzu, pink grapefruit and tropical flavors paired with subtle piney-ness.”

Ethereal Drift is rolling out now and will hang around only as long as supplies last. Burial Beer Co. Announces Return of Thresher Coffee Saison

Burial Beer Co. (Asheville, North Carolina) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Thresher on Wednesday, September 22.

A “return to one of [Burial’s] first ever realms of experimentation,” Thresher is a Saison “mashed with Barley and Wheat” and then “aged with Honduran Finca El Puente coffee beans from Counter Culture Coffee.” Coming in at 4.5% ABV, this year’s iteration of Thresher “brings bright golden raisin, plum and vanilla bean to [the] delicately wheat-driven saison base.”

A limited amount of Thresher – available in 4-packs of 12 oz. bottles for $14 – will be available for online presale for pickup at Burial Beer Co.’s Asheville taproomRaleigh taproom and Charlotte taproom at noon on September 22. Duke’s Mayo & Champion Brewing Collaborate on Family Recipe Vienna Lager

Champion Brewing Company (Charlottesville, Virginia) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Family Recipe, a special collaboration project with the icon that is Duke’s Mayonnaise, on August 20, 2021.

Named to honor “Duke’s mayo founder Eugenia Duke’s legendary recipe,” Family Recipe is a Vienna-style Lager “made with Vienna malt, Magnum, and Saaz hops.” Coming in at 5.1% ABV, Family Recipe was developed specifically to be “the perfect lager to pair with the south’s favorite sandwich – a mouthwatering, Duke’s-slathered BLT.”

“The spirit of this collaboration truly encapsulates the Duke’s brand – it’s bold, southern, and a little saucy,” said Duke’s Brand Marketing Manager of Mayohem, Rebecca Lupesco. “Champion has perfected the art of beer and food pairings with Family Recipe – sun-ripened, juicy tomatoes, crispy bacon, lots of Duke’s mayo, and a refreshing sipping beer is basically what summertime is made for.”

Champion owner Hunter Smith said, “I am inspired by the legacy and loyalty commanded by the Duke’s brand, plus it’s the only mayo that is used in our restaurants, so it only made sense to collaborate. Created as a reminder that some things are “best left in the hands of experts and fanatics,” Your Compliance Is Strongly Suggested is a blend of five different Imperial Stouts that was then “aged . . . with the largest dose of elegant Macadamia nuts that [Burial has] ever mustered, before adding Macaroon coconut, Mexican vanilla beans and a dab of maple syrup to accent and add a creamy finish.” Coming in at a massive 15% ABV, Your Compliance Is Strongly Suggested comes together to be a “tropical journey into macadamia maple creams, Coco Lopez cupcakes, and coconut cake with vanilla cream and crushed nuts.”

Developed to conjure up memories of “all-day State Fairs or evening carnivals,” Watermelon Cotton Candy is a Sour Wheat Ale brewed with cotton candy, milk sugar and watermelon juice. These ingredients come together to create the following ride for your senses:
