Westbrook Brewing, The Community Tap & Eighth State Team Up Again on Rice Crispy Boi

Westbrook Brewing Company (Mount Pleasant, South Carolina) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Rice Crispy Boi, a special collaboration with The Community Tap (Greenville, South Carolina) and Eighth State Brewing Company (Greenville, South Carolina), in mid-April 2022.

The embodiment of being “preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should,” Rice Crispy Boi is an “extra crispity” American Lager featuring “toasted rice flakes and goopy marshmallows.” Coming in at 5% ABV, Rice Crispy Boi resides “firmly in ‘crispy boi’ territory for maximum imbibeability.”

Rice Crispy Boi releases April 15 and will hang around only as long as supplies last. You can expect to find this Limited Release available in 4-packs of 16 oz. cans at Westbrook Brewing, Eighth State Brewing, The Community Tap and select craft beer-focused establishments located in South Carolina. Burial Beer Co. & The Eighth State Brewing Co. Collaborate on Evolved From Nothing Imperial Stout

Burial Beer Co. (Asheville, North Carolina) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Evolved From Nothing, a special collaboration project with The Eighth State Brewing Company (Greenville, South Carolina), at noon on Wednesday, September 23.

Heavily inspired by pecan turtle candies and ice cream, Evolved From Nothing is an Imperial Stout “made with a festive spike of Forestry Camp roasted and salted Southern pecans, loads of French Broad Chocolate cocoa nibs, dark caramel sugars and a final helping of Madagascar vanilla bean.” Coming in at 15% ABV, Evolved From Nothing supplies a “big faceful of chocolate praline cake, vanilla bean ice cream with smashed chocolate turtles and pecan pie drizzle.”

Evolved From Nothing – available in 500ml bottles for $20 each – will be available for online presale for pickup at Burial Beer Co.’s Asheville taproom and Raleigh taproom at noon on September 23 (proxies are welcome). If any bottles survive the presale, the brewery will release those in their online shop for nationwide shipping on September 24 at noon. Evolved From Nothing will not see distribution. Prost!
