Marker 48 Brewing (Weeki Wachee, Florida) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of its Spring Release Barrel-aged IPA (2019) on Saturday, July 13.
Previously released in 2016 and 2017 as a springtime treat, Spring Release Barrel-aged IPA is set to return a little later in the year this time around. The “Spring” descriptor may seem a bit confusing for a beer releasing during the summer, but it remains applicable because this Imperial India Pale Ale – brewed with El Dorado, Ella and Citra hops – was “aged underwater in a local freshwater spring in Early Times Kentucky Whiskey barrels for 48 days.” The 2019 iteration of Spring Release Barrel-aged IPA comes in at a smooth-sippin’ 8.5% ABV.
Spring Release Barrel-aged IPA (2019) will officially release in Marker 48’s taproom at noon on Saturday, July 13. This Limited Release offering will be available for purchase in 500ml bottles (priced at $10 each or three for $25) and on draft. Spring Release Barrel-aged IPA is a taproom exclusive that will not see distribution. Prost!
