Orpheus Brewing Readies for Limited Return of Nothing Left To Give Sour Ale

Orpheus Brewing (Atlanta, Georgia) has officially announced that it will begin the annual Limited Release of Nothing Left To Give, a Raspberry Sour Ale, on Saturday, February 29.

Returning once again to “give you everything you want,” Nothing Left To Give is an American Sour Ale “soured by house wild cultures and gorged with 2,000 lbs of raspberry.” Coming in at 5.9% ABV, Nothing Left To Give is “rich with juicy, ripened berry with underlying notes of peach and citrus.”

“At peace with the silence, the screams taken in by a wall of tranquility while earthly desires lie naked and bare – the manic pulsations of noise and flesh in their unending thirst for more. When all that’s left is me bleeding red, my heart pouring out of my skin, it’s not for you. All that remains is Nothing Left To Give.”

Nothing Left To Give will officially release at Orpheus Brewing on February 29 and limited distribution is expected to follow shortly after the on-site release. TrimTab Brewing (Birmingham, Alabama) has officially announced that it will be treating its fans to a Double Release Weekend featuring Martin Denny Complex, a tiki-inspired Imperial Sour Ale, on Friday, February 21 and Suspended Moments, a Double IPA brewed in collaboration with Heist Brewery (Charlotte, North Carolina) on Saturday, February 22.

Coming out of the brewery’s Beach Club Series as a liquid celebration of piano player and composer Martin Denny (a.k.a. the “father of exotica”), Martin Denny Complex is an Imperial Sour Ale crafted with passionfruit, peach and vanilla. Arriving as the second release in New Realm’s Push Cart Series that formulates beer versions of the most popular ice pops produced by their friends at King of Pops, Push Cart – Chocolate Sea Salt Imperial Ale is a “dark, creamy and sweet” American Strong Ale that is smooth and chocolatey with just a hint of salt on the finish.” Coming in at 8.6% ABV, Push Cart – Chocolate Sea Salt Imperial Ale is “perfect for winter in the city or escapes to the beach.”

Cascade Brewing Releases Tropical Grasslands Gose as its First Canned Sour

Cascade Brewing (Portland, Oregon) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Tropical Grasslands, a Barrel-aged Gose available exclusively in cans, on January 13.

Arriving as the first offering in a new series of canned Sour Ales that are “meant to be consumed fresh, not aged,” Tropical Grasslands is a Gose-style Ale “aged in oak barrels for up to 10 months then infused with fresh orange zest, fresh lemongrass, ground coriander and Oregon Coast sea salt.” Coming in at an easy drinking 5% ABV, Tropical Grasslands is the approachable yet full-flavored Sour Ale you have been longing for.

“Tropical Grasslands is the first in a new series of canned sours that are designed to be crisp, easy-drinking sours with clean and complex flavors,” explained Kevin Martin, director of brewery operations for Cascade Brewing. “With soft acidity and fresh flavors, this canned series will be a great gateway sour for those new to sour beer, and will also appeal to the sour beer connoisseur looking for a softer approach to the style.”

Released each year in January to commemorate the opening of New Realm’s first brewery, Radegast – named after the fabled Slavic god of hospitality – is a Triple India Pale Ale that is “wonderfully aromatic and massive in fruity hop flavor.” Boasting “huge citrus, resin and peach flavors plus mild malt character in both nose and taste,” the “full flavored and assertively hopped” Radegast (11.5% ABV) has been expertly crafted to be a “perfect cool weather sipper,”

Surfacing as the first can release to come out of the brewery’s 15 Barrel Brewhouse in 2020, Dry January is a Hazy India Pale Ale brewed with acai and pomegranate to give you “all the fruity juiciness you desire, without the smoothie bowl.” Containing plenty of booze at 10% ABV, Dry January is the perfect way to celebrate “Ditch Your New Year’s Resolution Day” on January 17.

Bearded Iris Brewing (Nashville, Tennessee) has officially announced that it will hold a Limited Can Release for Snowed In, a Pastry Stout brewed in collaboration with Burial Beer Co. (Asheville, North Carolina), at noon on Friday, January 3.

Meant to mimic the experience of a “delicate marjolaine cake”, Snowed In is an Imperial Stout that “intricately blends layers of dark chocolate, meringue-creamy vanilla bean, the rich warmth of almonds and hazelnuts, roasty coffee beans, and a rounded lactose finish.”

TrimTab Brewing Closes Out 2019 with Release of The Original 006 DDH Hazy DIPA

TrimTab Brewing (Birmingham, Alabama) has officially announced that The Original 006, its award-winning Double Dry-hopped Hazy Double IPA, will make a surprise return on Tuesday, December 31 as a part of the brewery’s New Year’s Eve festivities.

Revived to stir up some memories as 2019 closes and 2020 brings with it a new decade of opportunities, The Original 006 is a Hazy/Juicy Double India Pale Ale that establishes a backbone with American 2-Row barley and “an irresponsible amount of fluffy soft oats,” features an “extremely fruit forward” yeast strain, and receives a “massive Double Dry Hop treatment of [the brewery’s] newest and absolute freshest crops of Galaxy, Nelson Sauvin and Simcoe hops.” With the hop bill supplying “aromas and flavors of ripe, juicy peaches, cantaloupe rind, white grape juice and papaya jam,” The Original 006 offers a “soft and creamy [mouthfeel] reminiscent of pulpy OJ and has an easy-going piney bitterness and deceiving drinkability for its high 8.7% ABV.”

This latest batch of The Original 006 will officially debut in the Tasting Gallery at TrimTab Brewing at noon on December 31 and is expected to enter distribution shortly after the on-site release. Cherry Street Brewing (Cumming, Georgia) has officially announced that it will hold a Limited Can Release for O.A.S.I.S. Imperial Stout during its Annual Black Friday Kegs N’ Eggs event on November 29.

Brewed to commemorate the 40th birthday of Cherry Street Brewing’s Head Brewer Chris, O.A.S.I.S. (also known as “Old as Shit Imperial Stout“) is a Russian Imperial Stout that has been dosed with “cocoa nibs and vanilla beans soaked in Jeremiah Weed Sarsaparilla Whiskey.” Weighing in at 10.5% ABV, O.A.S.I.S. promises a rich and velvety experience featuring “slight roast notes up front, followed by decadent chocolate in the middle, and a bittersweet vanilla/whiskey finish.”

O.A.S.I.S. Imperial Stout will officially release in the Tap Room at Cherry Street Brewing (5810 Bond St. | Cumming, GA) at 9:30 a.m. on Black Friday (November 29) and will only be available as long as supplies last.
