Flying Dog Brewery (Frederick, Maryland) has officially announced that it will celebrate the 5th anniversary of Dead Rise, a Summer Seasonal OLD BAY Beer, with the debut of a new look and recipe in June 2020.

Originally released as a Blonde Ale, the new and improved Dead Rise is a Gose featuring lemon, salt, Citra hops and “Maryland’s most iconic seasoning – OLD BAY.” Coming in at 5.7% ABV, the reformulated recipe blends “50% more OLD BAY then Dead Rise’s previous formula . . . with a refreshing lemony tartness for a beer low in bitterness and high in flavor.”

Tampa Bay Brewing Co. Set to Drop Imperial Blueberry Cheesecake in the Face

Tampa Bay Brewing Company (Tampa, Florida) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Imperial Blueberry Cheesecake in the Face on Friday, June 5.

Carefully crafted to be “on par with a slice of New York Style cheesecake,” Imperial Blueberry Cheesecake in the Face is an Imperial Berliner Weisse “packed full of fresh blueberries and lactose that balance the tartness of this pastry sour.” Clocking in at 8% ABV, Imperial Blueberry Cheesecake in the Face features “a nice, creamy mouth-feel” that frames the beer’s “lip-smacking, decadent flavors” beautifully.

Imperial Blueberry Cheesecake in the Face will release in 4-packs of 16 oz. cans at Tampa Bay Brewing Company’s Westchase and Ybor City locations on June 5, but you can pre-order you stash now by clicking here. A returning favorite from TrimTab Brewing’s Light Visions Collection of small-batch Hazy and New England-style IPAs, Mosaic Singularity is a Hazy/Juicy India Pale Ale double dry-hopped with 100% Mosaic hops. Originally produced by Terrapin Beer Co. in 2008 and revived to draw attention to the 2019 installation of “720 solar panels on the roof of [the] brewery in order to offset [its] energy consumption as part of [the brewery’s] Terraprint initiative,” Sunray is German-style Hefeweizen that is brewed with the power of the sun and features a malt bill that “includes Georgia grown wheat malted by Riverbend Malt House in Asheville, NC.” Coming in at an easy drinking 5.2% ABV, Sunray brings together “Georgia sun, Georgia malt, Georgia beer. What more could you want this summer?”

Sunray Wheat Beer is scheduled to release during the week of June 1 and will hang around for a limited time. Founders Brewing Co. (Grand Rapids, Michigan) has officially announced that Cerise will return in late June as the next release in the brewery’s ‘Brewed for MI’ Series.

Brewed as a “celebration of the official state fruit” of Michigan, Cerise is a “ruby red” Fruit Beer “brewed with 100% tart, Michigan cherries.” Coming in at a light and refreshing 5.7% ABV, Cerise boast so much fresh cherry flavor that it is “as close you’ll get to tasting the real thing without picking it off the tree.”

Available exclusively in Michigan, each beer in the Brewed for MI Series “aims to raise awareness for Michigan-based non-profits through Founders corporate giving platform, The Big Pitcher.” Cerise will “raise awareness for Fair and Equal Michigan, a growing coalition of grassroots citizens, LGBTQ groups, business, political and philanthropic leaders that have joined together to help prohibit discrimination against the LGBTQ community.”

Heavy Seas Beer (Baltimore, Maryland) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of World Famous Pilsner, a special collaboration project with Royal Farms, in late June 2020.

Created to commemorate “Royal Farm’s wildly popular Chicken Palooza event as it enters its third year,” World Famous is a “crisp, clean Pilsner . . . brewed to pair perfectly with Royal Farm’s World Famous fried chicken.” Although it can be thoroughly enjoyed on its own, World Famous Pilsner (5% ABV) “tastes even better with RoFo fried chicken and Western fries. A match made in B’more heaven – start your voyage today!”

“I am a huge fan of RoFo chicken and have found a crisp, clean lager to be the perfect style of beer to compliment the subtle spice and yes, unctuous deliciousness, of a RoFo breast or wing,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “We’ve added a touch of citrus flair to the aroma and flavor of this pilsner-style lager with the deft addition of Citra hops late in the boil and in the fermenter. Wild Leap Brew Co. (LaGrange, Georgia) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of the highly anticipated twelfth volume in its Alpha Abstraction Double IPA Series in late May 2020.

Declared to be the “juiciest” release yet in Wild Leap’s wildly popular Alpha Abstraction Series, Alpha Abstraction – Vol. 12 is a Hazy/Juicy Double India Pale Ale double dry-hopped with Belma hops. Coming in at 8% ABV, Alpha Abstraction – Vol. 12 “boasts a bright citrus flavor with notes of strawberry and melon.”

Allagash Brewing Company Returns to Florida for a Limited Time

Allagash Brewing Company (Portland, Maine) has officially announced that it has partnered with Total Wine & More to bring Allagash White and River Trip to Florida for a limited time beginning in June 2020.

After a ten year absence from the Sunshine State, Allagash Brewing Company is returning to craft beer shelves in Florida by sending the following two fan-favorite offerings to Total Wine & More stores located throughout the state (descriptions sourced directly from the brewery’s website):

  • Allagash White – Our interpretation of a Belgian-style wheat beer is brewed with oats, malted wheat, and unmalted raw wheat for a hazy, “white” appearance. Spiced with our own special blend of coriander and Curaçao orange peel, Allagash White is both complex and refreshing. ABV – 5.2%
  • River Trip – A companion to backyards, backwoods, and balconies alike. River Trip is a low-ABV, Belgian-style table beer with hop-forward grapefruit and stone fruit notes. It’s brewed with local grains and spiced with coriander for an extra hint of citrus. Dry hopping with Comet and Azacca contributes to the mix of melon and grapefruit notes in the beer’s aroma. Good for any adventure. ABV – 4.8%
