Cahaba Brewing Celebrates Stout Season with Release of Steel Cut City Oatmeal Stout

Cahaba Brewing Co. (Birmingham, Alabama) has officially announced that it will begin the Seasonal Release of Steel Cut City in early December 2021.

Brewed to “[pay] homage to the resilience of the Birmingham community,” Steel Cut City is an Oatmeal Stout that hits the style’s “classic benchmark of bittersweet, roasty, and chocolatey notes.” Coming in at 6.2% ABV, Steel Cut City allows you to “enjoy its velvety smooth texture that’s both light and complex.”

Steel Cut City is rolling out now and scheduled to hang around through February 2022. You can expect to find this Seasonal offering available in 6-packs of 12 oz. cans and on draft at select craft beer-focused establishments located within Cahaba’s distribution footprint in Alabama. Prost!

Cahaba Brewing Greets Fall with Return of Oktoberfest Bier

Cahaba Brewing Company (Birmingham, Alabama) has officially announced that Oktoberfest Bier will make its annual return in early September 2020.

Known as “Birmingham’s premier Oktoberfest beer,” Cahaba’s Oktoberfest is a Festbier “brewed with continental malts, a generous amount of noble hops, and a unique twist on the fermenting yeast.” Coming in at 6.9% ABV, Oktoberfest is “malty, full-bodied, and well-balanced.”

Oktoberfest is rolling out now and will be available until mid- to late November 2020. You can expect find this Seasonal Release available in 6-packs of 12 oz. cans and on draft at the Taproom at Cahaba Brewing Company and select craft beer-focused establishments located within the brewery’s distribution footprint in Alabama. Crafted to place some “balance in your life,” Cahaba Lager is an American-style Pilsner that coaxes complexity out of simple ingredients. Coming in at 5.3% ABV and 32 IBUs, Cahaba Lager is “medium bodied yet not too heavy . . . with a sweet taste that finishes dry.”

Cahaba Brewing Co. Set for Limited Release of Bow & Arrow Brut IPA

CahabaBowArrowCahaba Brewing Company (Birmingham, Alabama) has officially announced that it will begin the extremely Limited Release of Bow & Arrow Brut India Pale Ale on January 31.

Arriving as Cahaba’s “Valentine’s gift to you,” Bow & Arrow is a Brut-style India Pale Ale that has been “freshly dry-hopped” with Citra and Mosaic hops and “lightly aged in French oak white wine barrels.”  Embodying the art of “Craft with Passion,” Bow & Arrow promises to offer an experience that is “dry, crisp and truly harmonized.”

Bow & Arrow Brut India Pale Ale will debut in the Taproom at Cahaba Brewing Company on January 31 and is scheduled to enter limited distribution on February 7.  The Bow & Arrow release consists of just 200 22 oz. bottles and a limited number of kegs.  Prost!

Cahaba Brewing Co. Celebrates Alabama’s 200th Birthday with Release of Two Versions of Bicentennial Barleywine

CahabaLogo3Cahaba Brewing Company (Birmingham, Alabama) has officially announced that it will hold a Double Bottle Release for Bicentennial Barleywine and Barrel-aged Bicentennial Barleywine at the brewery on Saturday, December 14.

Created to recognize “200 years of Alabama history,” Bicentennial Barleywine is an English-style Barleywine that features “sweet, smooth and robust flavors” alongside “fruity esters” supplied by an English yeast strain.  Weighing in at 10.5% ABV, Bicentennial Barleywine is “perfect to pair with your holiday meals or give as a gift to someone you love.”

Meant to be a special offering that is “worthy of the Alabama Bicentennial celebration,” Barrel-aged Bicentennial Barleywine takes that English-style Barleywine to the next level by aging it for 9 months in Bourbon barrels – the same barrels that previously housed Cahaba’s Batch 1000 brew – to create “a more mellow and complex finish.” This treatment imparts “notes of toffee and sherry [that complement] the sweet, full-bodied and flavorful qualities of the Barleywine.”

Bicentennial Barleywine and Barrel-aged Bicentennial Barleywine will officially debut in the Taproom at Cahaba Brewing Company during the brewery’s Cahabazaar Bicentennial Holiday Market on December 14 from noon to 6 p.m.  22 oz bottles of both Limited Release offerings will be available as long as supplies last.  If you would like to secure your bottles in advance, you can do so by visiting Cahaba Brewing Company’s CraftCellr page (click here to do so).  Bicentennial Barleywine and Barrel-aged Bicentennial Barleywine are both brewery exclusive releases and are not expected to see distribution.  Prost!

 

Cahaba Brewing Co. Set for Limited Can Release of Cinematic Sour

Cahabalogo2Cahaba Brewing Company (Birmingham, Alabama) has officially announced that it will release cans of Cinematic Sour in its taproom on Monday, August 19.

Created to be the official Sour Ale of Birmingham’s Sidewalk Film Festival, Cinematic Sour is a Berliner Weisse featuring “a hint of pink guava and a punch of passion fruit.” Brewed for ultimate approachability and refreshment, the “delicately pale orange” Cinematic Sour (4.1% ABV) is “moderately tart without being over the top.”

Cinematic Sour will officially release at Cahaba Brewing Company on August 19 but you can lock down your allotment now by pre-ordering on the brewery’s CraftCellr page (click here to do so). This Limited Release offering will be available for the cost of $12 per 6-pack of 12 oz. cans (limit of four 6-packs per person).  Prost!

Cahaba Brewing Company Set for Taproom Only Can Release of After Dinner Berliner

CahabaAfterDinner2Cahaba Brewing Company (Birmingham, Alabama) has officially announced that it will release cans of After Dinner Berliner, a Blackberry and Peach Sour Ale, in its taproom on Thursday, June 27.

Earning the distinction of being Cahaba Brewing Company’s first ever canned Sour Ale, After Dinner Berliner is a kettle soured Berliner Weisse that has been “fruited with blackberry and peach puree.” This treatment produces a Sour Ale that is an “enchanting deep red” in color with “pleasantly tart . . . notes of blackberry up front and peach on the back.”

After Dinner Berliner will officially release in The Taproom at Cahaba Brewing Company at 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 27.  This Limited Release offering will be available for purchase in 6-packs of 12 oz. cans.  Since supply is limited to only 50 cases, After Dinner Berliner is a taproom exclusive release that will not see distribution.  Prost!
