Jug & Bottle Dept. (Tampa, Florida) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Jug Beer, a special Tampa Bay Beer Week collaboration project with Hidden Springs Ale Works (Tampa Florida), on Tuesday, March 9.

Created to give everyone “a damn drinkable beer” they can enjoy all Tampa Bay Beer Week, Jug Beer is a Session India Pale Ale featuring Sabro, Strata and Citra hops. Coming in at 5.7% ABV, Jug Beer is “an ale that you can slam back anytime. An ale from the limescale waters of Tampa, Florida. A silver medal’r and a red ribbon winner.”

Jug Beer – available in 16 oz. cans – will drop at both Jug & Bottle Dept. (6203 N Florida Ave | Tampa, Florida) and Hidden Springs Ale Works (1631 N Franklin St | Tampa, Florida) on Tuesday, March 9 and will hang around only as long as supplies last. Jug Beer will not see distribution. Prost!

Hidden Springs Ale Works (Tampa, Florida) has officially announced that it will continue its Tarot Series with the Limited Bottle Release of The Devil at 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 29.

Representative of the seductive power of “the material world and physical pleasures” and Hidden Springs finally giving in to “the tempting magic that is pumpkin,” The Devil is an Imperial Stout that mimics the experience of a “decadent, indulgent pumpkin cheesecake.” Arriving at the most appropriate of times, The Devil is “sinfully delightful when enjoyed under the full moon on All Hallows’ Eve.”

TrimTab Brewing (Birmingham, Alabama) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Glow Up!, a Sour Ale brewed in collaboration with Hidden Springs Ale Works (Tampa, Florida), on Tuesday, October 13.

Inspired by the Hummingbird Cake, Glow Up! is a Pastry Sour that has been dosed with additions of banana, pineapple, nut flour, cinnamon and milk sugar. Coming in at 6% ABV, Glow Up! is a decadent tropical treat that is both a little tart and a little sweet.

Glow Up! – available in 4-packs of 16 oz. cans and on draft – will debut in the Tasting Gallery at TrimTab Brewing on October 13 and will hang around only as long as supplies last. There is no word at this time as to whether or not this Limited Release will see distribution. Prost!

Arriving as the second release in Hidden Springs’ new series of non-barrel-aged Imperial Stouts, The Tower is an Imperial Stout that captures the essence of French Toast thanks to ample additions of maple syrup and cinnamon. Symbolizing “a new dawn in our new reality,” The Tower is “sweet, thick, and a comforting, familiar flavor contrast to the uncertainty of today.”

Brawndo Rush will officially release in the Tasting Room at Hidden Springs Ale Works (1631 N. Franklin St. | Tampa, Florida) on May 19 and you can secure your cans by using one of the following three methods:

  • Order Online – 4-packs of Brawndo Rush will be available on Hidden Springs’ website beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19 (orders must be picked up on same day)

TBBW 2020 Event: Bottle Release of Empty Devils Collaboration from Hidden Springs Ale Works & Voodoo Brewery

HSAWVoodooTo properly set the Friday the 13th vibe during Tampa Bay Beer Week 2020, Hidden Springs Ale Works (Tampa, Florida) has officially announced that it will host a Limited Bottle Release for Empty Devils, a Double Barrel-aged Imperial Stout brewed in collaboration with Voodoo Brewery (Meadville, Pennsylvania), at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 13.

Surfacing from the depths of darkness to “take everything from you,” Empty Devils is an Imperial Stout aged in W.L. Weller and Woodford Reserve Double Oaked barrels with “pounds of Ugandan vanilla beans and toasted coconut” added.

The Empty Devils bottle release will take place at Hidden Springs Ale Works (1631 N. Franklin St. | Tampa, Florida) at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 13. Bottles will be $30 each and the brewery will announce the bottle limit 15 minutes before opening. Cash is preferred, but cards will be accepted.

A few things to keep in mind if you plan to attend this bottle release:

  • The Empty Devils bottle release will also double as a Tap Takeover with Voodoo BreweryVoodoo’s beers will be available when the doors open at 9 a.m. until they are gone
  • Full pours only during this event (no flights)
  • Parking is available up and down Franklin St. (before the I-275 overpass), on Henderson just west of Tampa, and on 7th Ave. There are also paid lots located across the street from the brewery and under the I-275 overpass. Hidden Springs Ale Works is not responsible for towed vehicles
  • Once you are in line, make sure that you hug the wall so that foot traffic will not be affected on the sidewalks
  • Above all, please be respectful of the brewery’s neighbors and be sure that you pick up after yourself

Just about any bottle release at Hidden Springs Ale Works is a guaranteed sell out, but you can expect Empty Devils to be in even higher demand because hordes of stout lovers will be in town for Tampa Bay Beer Week.
