EVENT CANCELLED – TBBW 2020 Event: Bangers & Berliners Eggs & Kegs Brunch at Late Start Brewing

**UPDATE 03.14.2020**  Due to rising concerns over the coronavirus (COVID-19), LOKO Cuisine has decided to cancel Bangers & Berliners and all Eggs & Kegs events until further notice.  Here is the full message from John LoScalzo, owner of LOKO Cuisine:

After much thought and with a heavy heart, LOKO Cuisine has decided to cancel Eggs & Kegs indefinitely until further notice due to the rising risk factors associated with the Coronavirus. This decision is the right thing to do and it protects the LOKO family and our valued guests. LOKO events are very social and communal and it wouldn’t be the same with the concerns of this virus. Each guest will receive a full refund next week. We’ll keep you posted on future events and when we can eat, drink, and be merry together again.

Take care and be well,

John LoScalzo
Owner/Chef LOKO Cuisine

LokoLateStart_editedOn Sunday, March 15 at 11 a.m., LOKO Cuisine and Late Start Brewing (Tampa, Florida) will join forces at Pour House – Tampa (1208 E. Kennedy Suite 112 | Tampa, Florida) to properly close out Tampa Bay Beer Week 2020 with a Bangers & Berliners edition of Eggs & Kegs.

Organized with the intention to ease you out of Tampa Bay Beer Week and ease you back into the reality of the fast approaching workweek, Bangers & Berliners is a hearty brunch capable of soaking up a week’s worth of over indulgence while still supplying a little hair of the dog in the form of low ABV Berliners and session beers.

Since food will definitely be a priority by the time Sunday rolls around, the centerpiece of this event is the following four-course English-influenced brunch (served self-serve-style) prepared by the crazy talented crew at LOKO Cuisine:

BangersBerlinersEggsKegsMenu

To ensure that you have plenty of pairing options for the meal above, Late Start Brewing will be pouring a vast array of Berliner Weisse-style beers, Session beers and other low ABV styles.  If you find yourself in need of something other than beer on Sunday morning, Ginger Beard Coffee’s location within Pour House – Tampa will be fully operational and serving up their full menu and two featured drinks – London Fog: a nitro Earl Grey tea with vanilla and macadamia nut milk; and Whiskey Nitro Coffee: brewed with whiskey rested coffee beans.

Tickets for Bangers & Berliners Eggs & Kegs are available now for $34.00 each, and you can purchase yours by clicking here. Ticket cost includes the four-course brunch and one beer, wine, coffee, or tea. Physical tickets will not be issued, but your name will be added to a paid list once the purchase process is completed. FYI: Everyone in your party will have to check in under the purchaser’s name at the door.

It is well known that food should be a priority whenever you decide to partake in a beer or three.  In keeping with that way of thinking, it only makes sense that the only way to properly end a week of drinking the finest beers in Tampa Bay is to sit down to a decadent brunch like LOKO Cuisine’s Bangers & Berliners Eggs & Kegs at Late Start Brewing/Pour House – Tampa on Sunday, March 15.  Do the right thing and get yourself some tickets while you still have your chance.  Seriously, this event gives you the best possible chance at being somewhat functional when you inevitably face everything that comes along with a Monday following Tampa Bay Beer Week.  Prost!

TBBW 2020 Event: Triple Can Drop at Escape Brewing Company

EscapeLogo400sqBeginning on March 11, Escape Brewing Company (Trinity, Florida) will be celebrating Tampa Bay Beer Week 2020 by having three straight days of can drops featuring three new beers: Strawberry Lemonade Sour, Poolside Chill Sour and Got Your Stash Hazy DIPA.

Recognizing that Tampa Bay Beer Week is always a great time to introduce a new beer or three, Escape Brewing Company will be taking care of their fans and anyone else who makes the trip up to the northern burbs by releasing 16 oz. cans of the following three Limited Release brews (descriptions sourced directly from the brewery’s social media posts):

  • Wednesday, March 11 at 4 p.m. | Strawberry Lemonade Sour – A mouth puckering, eye watering taste of Florida. Enjoy being wrapped up in a smooth strawberry front-end before getting a love bite from the sour lemonade. If sunshine had a taste this would be it! We think our favorite superhero, Florida Man, would consider this his go-to beer.
  • Thursday, March 12 at 4 p.m. | Poolside Chill Sour – A guava, lime & grapefruit Berliner Weisse with enough Florida attitude to make you say, “Hot dang!” Guava sweetly dances on your tongue but quickly switches to a feisty lime & grapefruit bite faster than the weather changes here! We recommend this sour for any day, rain or shine you’ll feel just like you’re by the pool while sipping this sour & sweet treat.
  • Friday, March 13 at Noon | Got Your Stash Hazy DIPA – A favorite in the taproom for a long time. We heard your cries for a revolution and rest assured we have delivered! This is our first canning of Stash and we are so happy to share this with everyone on the last day of TBBW. Talk about going out with a bang! This hazy DIPA will give you that great Nelson & Citra hop taste while mellowing out on the back end.

All three beers listed above will release in the Taproom at Escape Brewing Company (9945 Trinity Boulevard | Trinity, Florida) on their listed dates and times.  Each Limited Release offering will be available in 4-packs of 16 oz. cans as long as supplies last.

If you are in town partaking in all the Tampa Bay Beer Week festivities, be sure to build some time into your schedule to make a trip (or three) out to Trinity so that you can grab a 4-pack and raise a glass with the always awesome crew at Escape Brewing Company.  Prost!
