LOKO Cuisine and Bell’s Brewery to Host Fruit & Fire Pairing at Pour House

lokocuisinelogoOn Sunday, September 24 at 11:30 a.m., LOKO Cuisine will set up shop at Pour House – Tampa (1208 E. Kennedy Suite 112, Tampa, Florida) to feature the offerings of Bell’s Brewery (Comstock, Michigan) at a Rare Beer & A Plate Lunch event dubbed Fruit & Fire.

As autumn draws closer with each passing day, the folks at LOKO Cuisine are using Fruit & Fire as an excuse to fire up the smoker “one last time for an end of summer BBQ that will bring the sweet and the heat.”  The centerpiece of this event will be the following spread of smoked brisket, fruit-infused sauces, and tasty sides:

If that menu has your attention, you will certainly be all in on Fruit & Fire when you hear that Bell’s Brewery has selected 10+ rare and/or seasonal beers to pair with this summer BBQ.  The full taplist is as follows (click any beer below for description):

One pint/snifter (of equal value) is included with the ticket price, and each attendee will also receive a souvenir imperial pint glass from Bell’s Brewery.  If beer is not your thing, there will also be mimosas and wine available to choose as your included beverage.

Tickets are available now for the price of $26.75 each, and you can purchase your tickets by clicking here.  Ticket cost gets you all-you-can-eat brisket and sides; one beer (pint/snifter of equal value), mimosa or glass of wine; and a souvenir imperial pint glass.  Physical tickets will not be issued, but your name will be added to a paid list once the purchase process is completed. LOKO Cuisine Goes IchiLoko with Eggs & Kegs

LOKOlargeOn Sunday, July 16 at 11 a.m., LOKO Cuisine and Ichicoro Ramen will join forces in the Fermentorium at Cigar City Brewing (3924 W Spruce St, Tampa, Florida) to bring the foodie and craft beer communities a very special edition of Eggs & Kegs, IchiLoko.

For July’s installment of Eggs & Kegs, John LoScalzo of LOKO Cuisine is teaming up with Ichicoro Ramen to develop IchiLoko, a Japanese-inspired 4-course brunch that attendees will enjoy over “a multimedia backdrop of Japanese hip-hop and anime.”  The planned dishes for IchiLoko are as follow:

For the beer side of the event, Cigar City Brewing will be pouring Yuzu Margarita Gose and Lemongrass Rose Saison to act as the perfect pairings to the dishes above.  All attendees will receive one beer ticket “good for any pint or snifter of equal value in the Fermentorium or main tasting room bar.”  If you would like a beverage other than beer, Ginger Beard Coffee will also be on-site with nitro-infused cold brew coffee and green tea on tap.

When you have an event that combines the talents of LOKO Cuisine, Ichicoro Ramen and Cigar City Brewing, it is pretty much guaranteed that tickets will not last long.  With that in mind, you should probably go ahead and lock your tickets down as soon as possible.  Prost!

LOKO Cuisine to Host Oeste Cubano Q Dinner at Cigar City Brewing

CUBANO-FRONTAt 7 p.m. on Friday, June 2, LOKO Cuisine will set up once again in the Fermentorium at Cigar City Brewing (3924 W. Spruce St, Tampa, Florida) to host the second installment in their Oeste Dinner Series, Cubano Q.

Chef John LoScalzo of LOKO Cuisine developed the Oeste Dinner series as a means of celebrating the culinary history and traditions of West Tampa.  Since Cigar City Brewing also draws a good amount of inspiration from this region, LoScalzo made the very easy decision to partner with the brewery so that he may pair his dishes with the most appropriate beers available.  For Round 2 of Oeste, LOKO Cuisine’s Cubano Q will be “a Cuban infused BBQ spread that will tantalize your taste buds with sweet, salty, sour and spicy flavors.”  This seated, family-style dinner event will feature the following menu of six dishes:

As attendees enjoy the elaborate meal above, they will have the option to pair it with Cigar City’s Margarita Gose, Guava Grove Sour Ale, Guayabera Pale Ale or Pilsner.  One pint or snifter of equal value is included in cost of the dinner, but attendees will have the option to purchase additional pours throughout the event.

Cigar City Brewing and LOKO Cuisine to Host Jai Life Eggs and Kegs Event

lokocuisinelogoOn Sunday, May 21 at 11 a.m., Cigar City Brewing (3924 W. Spruce St, Tampa, Florida) and LOKO Cuisine will join forces once again to bring their fans Jai Life Eggs and Kegs, a Jamaican-inspired brunch that showcases the culinary versatility of Jai Alai India Pale Ale.

Eggs and Kegs is an ongoing series of food and beer pairings where Chef Loscalzo of LOKO Cuisine designs an imaginative themed menu centered around the flavor and aromatic profiles of a chosen beer or beers.  Taking place in the Fermentorium at Cigar City Brewing, Jai Life Eggs and Kegs will feature “a Jamaican inspired 4-course spread made to complement the hoppy goodness of Jai Alai IPA.”  For this event, Cigar City Brewing will be offering two variants of Jai AlaiWhite Oak Jai Alai and Jai Alai treated with Fresh Grapefruit Zest, as options to enjoy with the following menu:

In addition to all of the amazing food and beer, Jai Life Eggs and Kegs will also feature Citra Hopped nitro infused cold brew coffee from Ginger Beard Coffee and an ambiance properly set by the music of Bob Marley and other artists of the reggae genre.
