Proof Brewing Co. Expands Distribution to Orlando & Central Florida

Proof Brewing Co. (Tallahassee, Florida) has officially announced that it has partnered with Sunshine State Distribution to begin distribution in the Orlando area and eight Central Florida counties.

After years of requests, Proof Brewing Co. is hooking up Central Floridians by making their delicious lineup of brews available at restaurants, craft beer bars, and retail accounts located within eight Central Florida counties: Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole, Lake, Brevard, Volusia, and Flagler.

“We’re excited for our new partnership with Sunshine State Distribution and the ability to get our beer to fans in Central Florida,” said Owner Byron Burroughs. “From our core lineup to seasonal innovation, including our fruited sour beers, we’re ready to spread our love for craft beer.”

Proof Brewing Co. will enter this new distribution territory with “some of the brewery’s most popular offerings, including Eightfive-0 American Pale Ale, La La Land IPA, Mango Wit Wheat Ale, Lager, and Evil Kiss Berliner sour series.” Offerings from Proof Brewing Co. are hitting the Orlando/Central Florida area now. Proof Brewing Co. Sets Date for 2020 Anniversary Celebration

Proof Brewing Co. (1320 South Monroe Street | Tallahassee, Florida) has officially announced that it will celebrate its first full year of brewing and pouring beer at its beautiful 1320 South Monroe location by hosting its 2020 Anniversary Celebration at the brewery from 11 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, February 8.

There is no better way to celebrate a brewery anniversary than by tapping an abundance of exciting Limited Release beers, and Proof Brewing is doing just that by featuring over 30 beers on tap on February 8. To set the vibe and round out these festivities, the 2020 Anniversary Celebration will also feature live music from local acts – Adam & the Testifiers from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Trial By Stone from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. – and Proper, The Brewpub at Proof Brewing Co, will be “serving up delicious, elevated pub food” to satisfy all your grubbin’ needs.

The 2020 Anniversary Party at Proof Brewing Co. is a free-to-attend, pay-as-you-go event that is open to the public. The brewery is selling an Anniversary Passport in its online store for $15 (click here to purchase, quantities are limited) and that gets you a commemorative taster glass (pictured below) and three 5 oz. fills of any beer on the menu. The Anniversary Passport is not required, but it is highly recommended that you purchase one if you wish to get your hands on the commemorative glassware.

Proof Brewing Co. Enters A New Decade with Seasonal Release of Litany of Angels

Proof Brewing Co. (Tallahassee, Florida) has officially announced that it will release its award-winning Litany of Angels for the first time in cans on Friday, January 10.

Carefully crafted with the use of “artisanal brewing methods for refined flavor,” Litany of Angels is a Belgian Golden Strong Ale that “elevates soft malt flavors and fruity esters and spices, rooted in traditional Belgian styles.” Coming in at 9% ABV, Litany of Angels possesses a complexity comprised of “elegant candi sweetness and warming alcohol.”

“Litany of Angels has been one of the bestselling beers in our tasting room,” said Bryan Smith, Marketing Director at Proof Brewing Co. “We are excited to scale this crowd favorite up and share with more of our fans.”

Brewery release calendar season continues to roll on and this week we kick things off with a look at the 2020 Release Calendar from Proof Brewing Co. (Tallahassee, Florida).

As is the case with all brewery calendars around here, we have posted Proof Brewing Co.’s full 2020 Release Calendar below for you to look over at your own leisure. That said, there are a few interesting releases that we would like to bring to your attention . . . so . . . let’s get into it:

Proof Brewing Co.’s 2020 Seasonal lineup will consist of four releases: Litany of Angels, a 9% ABV Belgian Strong Ale, available January through March in 4-packs of 12 oz. cans and draft; White Orchid, an American IPA with tropical fruits and citrus notes, available April through July in 4-packs of 12 oz. cans and draft; Prooftoberfest, a German-style Festbier, available August through October in 6-packs of 12 oz. cans and draft; Coffee Creatures In the Dark, a sweet stout aged on local coffee, available October through December in 4-packs of 12 oz. cans and draft.
The brewery will also offer a draft-only Sour Seasonal Series in 2020. This series will feature the following four variants of the brewery’s Evil Kiss Berliner Weisse: January – March | Pomegranate Passion Fruit Evil Kiss; April – June | Strawberry Lemonade Evil Kiss; July – September | Key Lime Pie Evil Kiss; and October – December | Raspberry Lime Evil Kiss.

Proof Brewing Co. Marks Return of College Football with Annual Release of Warpath IIPA

Proof Brewing Co. (Tallahassee, Florida) has officially announced that it will begin the taproom-only release of its award-winning Warpath Imperial IPA at 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 29.

Released each year at the start of college football season “[to pay] tribute to [the brewery’s] hometown team,” Warpath is an Imperial India Pale Ale brewed “with over six pounds of hops per barrel” (hop bill: Mosaic, Cryo Azacca, El Dorado, and Citra hops). Meant to “[lead] the way in a modern IPA world,” this beer’s “hop profile emulates the juicy flavors of New England-Style hazy IPAs but with the dryness and mouthfeel of West Coast-Styles.” Coming in at 8% ABV, Warpath’s “hoppy flavor will galvanize your taste buds and your thirst for victory.”

“Last year, sales of 4-pack cans exceeded all expectations and we sold out quickly,” said Founder, Byron Burroughs. “We’ve increased production to ensure this Tallahassee tradition can be shared with friends at football tailgates, social events, or anywhere you are on the Warpath!”

Proof Brewing & DEEP Brewing Co. Make Some Noise with Constructive Interference IPA Collaboration

Proof Brewing Co. (Tallahassee, Florida) has officially announced that the Limited Release of Constructive Interference, an American IPA brewed in collaboration with DEEP Brewing Co. (Tallahassee, Florida), will begin on Friday, June 28.

Brewed by members of Proof Brewing Co. and DEEP Brewing Co. to capture “the collaborative spirit of the craft beer industry” while also highlighting the incredible camaraderie that exists within Tallahassee’s craft brewing community, Constructive Interference is a Juicy American India Pale Ale brewed with Mosaic, Denali, and Mandarina Bavaria hops. Tallahassee through and through, the release of Constructive Interference “is perfectly timed for this evolution of Florida’s Craft Capital!”

Constructive Interference American IPA will debut in the tasting rooms of both Proof Brewing Co. and DEEP Brewing Co. on June 28 and is scheduled to hit Tallahassee-area grocery stores in early July 2019. Proof Brewing Co. & Finback Brewery Collaborate on Quantum Foam DIPA

Proof Brewing Co. (Tallahassee, Florida) has officially announced that it will release Quantum Foam, a Double New England-style IPA brewed in collaboration with Finback Brewery (Queens, New York), on Friday, May 24.

Formulated by representatives of Proof Brewing Co. and Finback Brewery to boldly “[defy] the space/time continuum”, Quantum Foam is a “bright and floral” New England-style Double India Pale Ale brewed with “experimental hop Bru-1, cryo Azacca, and Mosaic hops.” This reality altering hop bill lends Quantum Foam “vivid aromas of citrus [that] encompass . . . bold flavors of tropical fruit and pineapple.”

“After brewing a collab with Finback in NYC, we had to bring it home to Tallahassee,” said Byron Burroughs, Proof Brewing Company’s founder. “We really wanted to make an IPA symbolic of the tropical flavors and aromas of bold East-coast styles. These new hops add many layers of complexity throughout the beer.”

Quantum Foam will officially release in Proof Brewing Company’s Tasting Room at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 24. This Limited Release offering will be available in 4-packs of 16 oz. cans – making Quantum Foam Proof Brewing Co.’s first ever 16 oz. can release. Serving as Proof Brewing Co.’s “salute to the classic German style”, Proof Lager is a “bright, refreshing” Munich-style Lager that “showcases a balance of light malt with a delicate German Noble hop aroma.” Weighing in at an easy-drinking 5% ABV and 24 IBUs, Proof Lager boasts “a clean, crisp finish which pairs perfectly with a sunny day or any day you please.”

Proof Brewing Co. Goes Year-Round with La La Land IPA

Proof Brewing Company (Tallahassee, Florida) has officially announced that La La Land West Coast-style IPA will join its Year-Round lineup in mid-March 2019.

Developed to be an “East meets West . . . homage to the classic West Coast-style”, La La Land is an American India Pale Ale “featuring bright aromas and flavors of citrus and tropical fruit, with a crisp, resinous bitterness.” Although it comes in at a sizable 7% ABV and 90 IBUs, La La Land West Coast-style IPA still possesses “a vibrant balance of hops and malts for any landscape!”

“Our new production facility has given us the space to increase our line-up of beers,” said Angela Burroughs, Proof Brewing Company’s founder. “This release of La La Land has been a long time coming and a fan favorite for years. It’s exciting to be able to provide our customers with a beer they’ve been wanting.”

6-packs of La La Land will hit Proof Brewing’s new tasting room on March 15 and distribution will follow shortly after the on-site release. Proof Brewing Co. Schedules Grand Opening for New Facility

Proof Brewing Co. (Tallahassee, Florida) has officially announced that it will hold a grand opening celebration for its massive new facility at 1320 South Monroe Street during the weekend of February 8.

After nearly a year of renovations and $6 million invested, Proof Brewing is finally ready to reveal all that it has done to revitalize the 34,000 square foot historical building – an abandoned Coca-Cola Bottling Facility built in 1948 – “centrally located near the redevelopment of South Monroe and the downtown district” of Tallahassee. This new expanded brewing facility will up Proof Brewing’s game with the following features and opportunities (this information was sourced directly from the brewery’s press release):

The larger building and additional fermentation capacity will allow brewery staff to expand production of Proof Brewing Co.’s core lineup of bold and flavorful beers. La La Land West Coast-style IPA and Lager will be added to the core lineup of cans next to the wildly popular Eightfive-0 American Pale Ale and Mango Wit Belgian-Style Wit in the months following the facility’s opening. Additional package varieties will be added for the tasting room and distribution release.
The inclusion of a $150,000 onsite lab and centrifuge will increase the efficiency and consistency of every beer. The new technology will significantly improve the shelf stability and production quality.
The larger tasting room will feature a full bar pouring twenty-four beer taps, wine, house sangria, and hand-crafted cocktails. Brewery tours will begin in the new merchandise area where fans can access growler, crowler, and package varieties to-go. Guests can relax in the all-weathered covered patio and enjoy over 8000 square feet of beer garden space.
A new private event space will offer guests a stunning atmosphere to host engagement, holiday, retirement, and birthday parties as well as corporate meetings and events, with views into the brewery and access to a private beer garden.
Proof Brewing has partnered with local chefs to open a new onsite restaurant concept called Proper. Proper will also be available for catered private events and dinners in the new event space.
As growth in the new facility continues, additional employees and support staff will grow when new markets are reached throughout the state of Florida and beyond.

The grand opening of Proof Brewing’s new facility at 1320 South Monroe Street will begin on Friday, February 8 and carry throughout the weekend. After the grand opening, the new brewery and taproom will have expanded hours of operation and be open seven days a week.
