Cascade Brewing (Portland, Oregon) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Mango Road 2019 on Friday, August 14.

Brewed to tell the story of a “cross-continental journey of flavors from Oceania and Southeast Asia across Eurasia to South and Central America, ending at last in the Pacific Northwest,” Mango Road is a “sour blond ale aged in oak wine barrels for up to 18 months then fermented with mangoes and infused with jasmine flowers and pink peppercorn.” Mango Road comes in at 8.3% ABV.

Mango Road 2019 will debut at Cascade’s two Portland pubs – Cascade Brewing Barrel House and Lodge at Cascade Brewing – on August 14 and distribution will follow shortly after the on-site release. Hidden Springs Ale Works Pulls New Card from Tarot Series, Reveals The Tower

Hidden Springs Ale Works (Tampa, Florida) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of The Tower, a French Toast-inspired Imperial Stout, on Thursday, August 13.

Arriving as the second release in Hidden Springs’ new series of non-barrel-aged Imperial Stouts, The Tower is an Imperial Stout that captures the essence of French Toast thanks to ample additions of maple syrup and cinnamon. Symbolizing “a new dawn in our new reality,” The Tower is “sweet, thick, and a comforting, familiar flavor contrast to the uncertainty of today.”

Bottles of The Tower will release exclusively on the Hidden Springs Ale Works website at 4 p.m. on August 13. Here are the full details and rules surrounding this release (as posted on the brewery’s social media accounts):

Flying Dog Brewery Comes out Swingin’ with Limited Release of Vicious Hook Sour Ale

Flying Dog Brewery (Frederick, Maryland) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Vicious Hook, the brewery’s first major sour release, in early August 2020.

Named after a boxing term that “[references] the beer’s sweet start that finishes with a savage jolt of sourness and hits like a heavyweight,” Vicious Hook is a fruited Sour Ale that “delivers on its fruit punch promise” thanks to additions of blood orange, cherry and pineapple. Coming in at just 5.3% ABV, the “extremely approachable” Vicious Hook “is a one-two combo of sweet and tart that stuns you with a pucker punch.”
