DuClaw Brewing Co. (Baltimore, Maryland) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Noir Black IPA in mid-February 2022.

Developed to force you to “set doubts aside [and] come around to the uncommon,” Noir is a “dark, dreamy masterpiece” of a Black India Pale Ale featuring Chinook, Citra, Simcoe and Amarillo hops. Coming in at 7% ABV, Noir is “surprisingly smooth, offering hoppy hints of citrus and pine, and an intense aroma of spice, herbs, and tropical fruit.”

Noir is rolling out now and will be sticking around only as long as supplies last. New Realm Brewing Company (Atlanta, Georgia) has officially announced that Haze Dipper will join the brewery’s Year-Round portfolio in early March 2022.

The latest offering to come out of New Realm’s “striking haze nebulas and array of juicy hop constellations,” Haze Dipper is a Hazy/Juicy Pale Ale featuring “glistening tropical fruit notes and celestial sweet orange marmalade aromatics.” Coming in at 5.3% ABV, Haze Dipper will have you “[reaching] for your glass and [floating] away into a world all your own.”

“We brewed this Hazy Juicy Pale Ale with a unique combination of American and Australian hops, giving Haze Dipper a complex and fun hop presence. Australian Vic Secret Hops provide this beer with some lime character, as well as tropical fruit, floral, and spice notes. Comet is an old-school, almost forgotten classic American Hop that is loaded with citrus and pine character. Finally, we amped up the hop profile by combining these two hops with Citra. Tröegs Independent Brewing (Hershey, Pennsylvania) has officially announced that it will begin the Seasonal Release of Hop Horizon in early February 2022.

Developed to “usher in the spring season,” Hop Horizon is a Hazy/Juicy India Pale Ale that features a hop combination Citra, Mosaic and Sabro hops against a backbone built on “a subtle blend of pale malts, wheat and oats.” Coming in at 6.5% ABV, Hop Horizon rides “juicy waves of citrus, hints of bubblegum and a pop of tropical fruit.”

Developed by Allagash’s Pilot Team over the last year, Swiftly IPA is an American India Pale Ale that “features the lush, citrusy, and resinous glory of Cascade, Chinook, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops, gently spiced with coriander.” Coming in at 6.5% ABV, Swiftly was specifically crafted to match the following description from a member of the brewery’s staff: “Roasted caramel notes, a little bit of sweetness, a hop profile that tastes like a morning walk among the mossy, dew-soaked trails of a coniferous forest.”

Big Storm Brewing Helps End Hunger in Tampa with Limited Release of Hops for Hunger

Big Storm Brewing Co. (Clearwater, Florida) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Hops for Hunger, a special collaboration project with Feeding Tampa Bay, on February 3, 2022.

Brewed to assist the “approximately one million people [who] are food insecure in our 10-county region,” Hops for Hunger (4.8% ABV) is a Honey Wheat Orange Ale that will donate “a percentage of every beer sold . . . to better serve our neighbors with the compassion they deserve.” The money raised will assist Feeding Tampa Bay in their mission that had them “[serving] nearly 95 million meals last year.”

Hops for Hunger debuts today and will hang around only as long as supplies last. This Limited Release will be available by the 16 oz. can at Big Storm’s four taprooms – Clearwater, Orlando, Odessa and Cape Coral. Prost!

Oskar Blues Brewery (Longmont, Colorado) has officially announced that it will add Double Dale’s Imperial IPA to its Year-Round lineup in late January 2022.

Developed to celebrate two decades of the brewery’s legendary Dale’s Pale Ale, Double Dale’s is an Imperial India Pale Ale “brewed with juicy, tropical El Dorado and complex Talus hops, keeping with the Dale’s tradition of utilizing only American hops.” Clocking in at 9% ABV, Double Dale’s “[turns] the industry upside down again, doubling down on hops with a newly formulated, massive IPA worthy of the legendary original craft beer in a can.”

“It’s impossible to improve upon such a classic recipe, so we went in a slightly different direction with Double Dale’s,” said Oskar Blues Lyons’ Head Brewer Juice Drapeau, who piloted the new beer at the brewery’s original Lyons, Colo. location. “Double Dale’s captures some of the citrus and caramel character of Dale’s, while achieving its own unique flavor profile and identity. We wanted to create something new and fresh that would live up to the legacy Dale’s Pale Ale created – most importantly being a boundary stomping, hopped-up beer.”

Shiner Beer (Shiner, Texas) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Release of Bruja’s Brew IPA in late January 2022.

The first release in Shiner’s Tex Hex IPA Series aimed at giving the brewery “a bigger presence in IPA, the largest and fastest-growing beer category in the U.S.,” Bruja’s Brew is an American India Pale Ale “brewed with cactus water and Amarillo hops, an ode to the brand’s Texas roots.” Coming in at 7% ABV and 60 IBUs, Bruja’s Brew “delivers a hops-forward aroma and flavor that is a mix of bright, citrusy, resinous and tropical, featuring a medley of tangerine, pineapple, citrus and stone fruit.”
