Late Start & Angry Chair Brewing Collaborate on Barrel-aged LVN CLN

Late Start Brewing (Tampa Florida) has officially announced that it will begin the Limited Bottle Release of Barrel-aged LVN CLN, an annual collaboration project with Angry Chair Brewing (Tampa, Florida), at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 12.

Back to give Tampa Bay Beer Week 2021 some of that sweet collaboration action, Barrel-aged LVN CLN is an Imperial Sweet Stout brewed with honey and lactose, aged for 24 months in Bourbon barrels, and treated with marshmallows and freshly roasted pistachios. Barrel-aged LVN CLN comes in at 11% ABV.

Barrel-aged LVN CLN will release at Late Start Brewing (located within Pour House Tampa at 1208 E Kennedy Blvd #112 | Tampa, Florida) at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 12. This Limited Release will be available on draft and in 750ml bottles ($30 each, no limit) for as long as supplies last. Barrel-aged LVN CLN is a brewery only release and will not see distribution. EVENT CANCELLED – TBBW 2020 Event: Bangers & Berliners Eggs & Kegs Brunch at Late Start Brewing

**UPDATE 03.14.2020**  Due to rising concerns over the coronavirus (COVID-19), LOKO Cuisine has decided to cancel Bangers & Berliners and all Eggs & Kegs events until further notice.  Here is the full message from John LoScalzo, owner of LOKO Cuisine: 

After much thought and with a heavy heart, LOKO Cuisine has decided to cancel Eggs & Kegs indefinitely until further notice due to the rising risk factors associated with the Coronavirus. This decision is the right thing to do and it protects the LOKO family and our valued guests. LOKO events are very social and communal and it wouldn’t be the same with the concerns of this virus. Each guest will receive a full refund next week. We’ll keep you posted on future events and when we can eat, drink, and be merry together again.

Organized with the intention to ease you out of Tampa Bay Beer Week and ease you back into the reality of the fast approaching workweek, Bangers & Berliners is a hearty brunch capable of soaking up a week’s worth of over indulgence while still supplying a little hair of the dog in the form of low ABV Berliners and session beers.

Since food will definitely be a priority by the time Sunday rolls around, the centerpiece of this event is the following four-course English-influenced brunch (served self-serve-style) prepared by the crazy talented crew at LOKO Cuisine:

To ensure that you have plenty of pairing options for the meal above, Late Start Brewing will be pouring a vast array of Berliner Weisse-style beers, Session beers and other low ABV styles.  If you find yourself in need of something other than beer on Sunday morning, Ginger Beard Coffee’s location within Pour House – Tampa will be fully operational and serving up their full menu and two featured drinks – London Fog: a nitro Earl Grey tea with vanilla and macadamia nut milk; and Whiskey Nitro Coffee: brewed with whiskey rested coffee beans.

LOKO Cuisine Honors Hiro Matsuda with Father’s Day Brunch & Bottle Release at Late Start Brewing

lokocuisinelogoOn Sunday, June 16 at 11 a.m., LOKO Cuisine will join forces with Late Start Brewing – located inside Pour House Tampa | 1208 E. Kennedy Suite 112 | Tampa, Florida – to host Hiro Matsuda’s Eggs & Kegs Father’s Day Brunch and Bottle Release.

Since Hiro Matsuda – a legend who is considered one of the greatest professional wrestlers and trainers of all time – has familial ties to members of the LOKO Cuisine crew, it is only fitting for LOKO to celebrate his life and career with a special Father’s Day edition of Eggs & Kegs.  The following Okayu Bowl Bar – an elaborate riff on traditional Japanese rice porridge – will be the focus of this Japanese-inspired brunch:

As mentioned in the menu above, Late Start Brewing will handle the “kegs” portion of this brunch by showcasing the following two Limited Release beers inspired by Hiro Matsuda and his wrestling career:

  • Shogun – Imperial Stout with Coffee, Vanilla & Japanese Whisky-soaked Cherrywood 
  • Japanese Sleeper – Gose with Yuzu, Kumquats, Sansho Sichuan and Santaka Peppers & Hana Flake Salt

Shogun and Japanese Sleeper will be available for purchase on draft and in 500ml bottles (label artwork available below).

There will also be a variety of other wrestling-inspired beers available on draft during this event.  If you happen to find yourself in need of a little caffeine pick-me-up during the brunch, worry not because the fine folks at Ginger Beard Coffee will be at their counter – also located in Pour House – Tampa – serving up a variety of nitro coffee and tea offerings (not included in the ticket price).

TBBW 2019 Event: Hangover Day – Donuts & Dessert at 7venth Sun Brewery

7venthSunLogoBoth7venth Sun Brewery (Dunedin & Tampa, Florida) has officially announced that it will put the finishing touches on Tampa Bay Beer Week (TBBW) by hosting its 7th Annual Hangover Day: Donuts & Dessert on Sunday, March 10 at the brewery’s Tampa and Dunedin locations.

Organized to give Tampa Bay Beer Week attendees one last hurrah before they have to return to reality, 7venth Sun’s Hangover Day 2019 will end things on sweet note by taking on the theme of “Donuts and Dessert”.  Considering that this event is jam-packed with a plethora of donut and/or dessert-themed beers, guest brewers, and even a special bottle release, we think the best move here is to just break the whole thing down and give you all the details in a format that is both easy to read and navigate.  So . . . let’s get to it!

Hangover Day 2019 will also act as the bottle release for XOXOXOXO, a Tequila Barrel-aged Sweet Stout with Vanilla and Coffee.  Bottles of XOXOXOXO will be available for purchase at both 7venth Sun locations.  More info to come on pricing and bottle limits.

LOKO Cuisine Launches 2019 Eggs & Kegs Series with Biscuits & Berliners at Late Start Brewing

BiscuitsBerliners3On Sunday, January 20 at 11 a.m., LOKO Cuisine and Hey Giant! Little Biscuits will combine culinary talents at Late Start Brewing – located inside Pour House Tampa | 1208 E. Kennedy Suite 112 | Tampa, Florida – to host a special “Biscuits & Berliners” edition of Eggs & Kegs.

LOKO Cuisine’s Eggs & Kegs road trip continues into 2019 and the first stop of the year will be at Late Start Brewing for brunch over Biscuits & Berliners.  With Hey Giant! along for the ride with their famous little biscuits in hand, this collaborative brunch menu will consist of the following five self-serve, gravy-soaked courses:

Late Start Brewing will obviously be responsible for refreshments at this shindig, and they have gone all in by coming up with the following tap list of brunch-themed Berliners (and one Gose):
