3SonsLogo3 Sons Brewing Company (Dania Beach, Florida) has officially announced that it will be traveling the state of Florida to hold a series of Tap Takeover and Can Release events from Wednesday, June 12 to Sunday, June 16.

Now that their brewery and taproom are both fully operational, the good people at 3 Sons Brewing Company feel that it is now time to properly introduce themselves to the craft beer-loving masses of Florida.  They will be doing this by hitting up a few “neighborhood brewery spots, and bringing along some cans of deliciousness as well as a few special beers to tap.”

All of these Florida Tour events will feature can releases of the brewery’s Dopealicious IPA, Doc Hop IPA, Green Ocean Session IPA, and Ocean Park Pils (“for the #crispybois”).  Although the can releases will be the same, each location’s event will feature its own vibe and a Tap Takeover consisting of its own unique tap list.  The full schedule for 3 Sons Brewing Company’s Florida Tour is as follows (event descriptions sourced directly from the brewery’s newsletter):

  • Wednesday, June 12 | Boxelder Craft Beer Market | Miami, Florida – Stop by Boxelder in Miami on June 12th, and pick up a few 4-packs of our beers to go. We’ll also be tapping our newest releases, Rice Crispy Bois Pilsner, DDH Galactic Space Juice DIPA, and a special keg of DB Base Nectar! Be there or be square.
  • Thursday, June 13 | MIA Beer Company | Doral, Florida – On Thursday, we’ll be making our way out to our second stop at MIA Beer Co. Our cans will be readily available for purchase, as well as a tapping of our newest releases, Rice Crispy Bois Pilsner, DDH Galactic Space Juice DIPA, and DB Base Nectar! Run, don’t walk, because those beers will be gone before you know it!
  • Friday, June 14 | Hidden Springs Ale Works | Tampa, Florida – On Friday we’ll be bringing the heat to Hidden Springs in Tampa! Our cans will be available for purchase, but our tap takeover will be difficult to beat. It’s gonna be a howlin’ good time!
  • Saturday, June 15 | Hawthorne Bottle Shoppe | St. Petersburg, Florida – On Saturday we’ll be visiting our good friends at Hawthorne Bottle Shoppe in St. Petersburg! Once again, our cans will be available for purchase and they’ll be tapping our newest beers Rice Crispy Bois Pils and DDH Galactic Space Juice DIPA. AND in addition to that heat, they’ll be tapping a special keg of Barrel Aged Imperial Scoop! Don’t sleep on this one!
  • Sunday, June 16 | Union Beer Store | Miami, Florida – We wrap up our extravaganza of a tour on Sunday at Union Beer Store in Miami. Our cans will be cold and readily available. Field Trip: Cavalier Distributing Trade Show – Tampa

Just a few weeks ago, Cavalier Distributing (Lakeland, Florida) held a fantastic and informative trade show at The Vault, a beautiful venue located in the heart of Tampa’s Downtown Arts District.  Cavalier used this industry-only event as an opportunity to introduce the area’s restaurants, bars, retailers, and media members to their vast portfolio of fine craft beers, meads, ciders and spirits.  The best way to capture all that this event had to offer was through a visual medium, so check out the photos below (click to enlarge) so that you too can get the inside scoop on the exciting beverages headed our way this year from Cavalier Distributing.  Prost!

M.I.A. Beer Company Expands Distribution to Ohio

mialogoM.I.A. Beer Company (Doral, Florida) has partnered with Cavalier Distributing to begin distribution of their offerings in Ohio on Monday, December 5.

When they first opened for business in 2015, the owners of M.I.A. Beer Company – Johann Beckford, Eddie Leon, and Kevin Smith – wanted to create a craft beer experience greatly inspired by South Florida’s tropical environment and local pop culture.  They did just that by infusing the unique vibe of Miami into their lineup of quality craft beers and the brewery’s overall culture.  This approach has proven to be a formula for success and M.I.A. Beer Company is now ready to expand distribution to Ohio, their first market outside of Florida.

The expansion to Ohio will officially begin on December 5, and M.I.A. will launch in that market with the following offerings:

  • Miami Weiss Hefeweizen – This traditional German-Style Hefeweizen is brewed with wheat, barley, & sweet orange peel. This unfiltered hefe produces vanilla, banana & bubblegum esters.  ABV – 6%  IBUs – 10
  • Mega Mix Pale Ale – A West-Coast style light bodied pale ale with a Megamix of Mosaic, Galaxy and Citra late addition and dry hops. Hugely aromatic and mildly bitter.  ABV – 6%  IBUs – 50
  • Tourist Trappe Belgian Tripel – This tripel is brewed with blond malts and a touch of candy sugar. It’s fermented with Belgian Abby yeast strain that imparts fruity and spicy yet soft, well rounded esters. This low hopped brew is easy on the palate, but deceptively strong.  ABV – 10%  IBUs – 35

In addition to the three beers listed above, M.I.A. will also treat the Ohio craft beer community to “seasonal and limited releases as they are available.”

“M.I.A. is excited to bring our line of Miami-inspired beers to Ohio. We have many Ohio vacationers who have discovered us, and now, they can enjoy a little taste of vacation at home,” said Eddie Leon, Co-Owner of M.I.A. Beer Company.

The brews of M.I.A. Beer Company will be available in 12 oz. cans and on draft at craft beer establishments in “the Cincinnati, Dayton, and Oxford markets.”  The Ohio branch of Cavalier Distributing will handle all distribution responsibilities for M.I.A. in those areas. A taste of Florida can certainly go a long way during an Ohio winter, so keep an eye out for these beers when they start hitting shelves and taps on Monday.  Prost!
